This line is cool, but I try to steer clear of action figures these days and keep my collection mainly Hot Toys or statues. I am really tempted to get the Batman/Phantasm pack, though, as I just think that movie is not only the best animated Batman film DCWB have ever put out, but also one of the best Batman films overall. I think it's right up there with Batman 89 and Batman Begins. The packaging for that set might be what sways me to get it or not as I think I'd like to keep them in the box. The Batmobile is also very tempting as that design is just so awesome and iconic.

Speaking of Mask of the Phantasm, when is that movie going to get the blu-ray treatment? I have no idea how WB/DC let the 20 year anniversary of the movie and Batman's 75'th anniversary go by last year and not give that film a release on blu-ray with loads of extra features.

Not only Mask of the Phantasm, but the whole The Animated Series... No blu-ray treatment yet... That's an absurd!

I was really expecting a blu-ray release of TAS in 2012 (20 years) and last year (Bats' 75th anniversary)... But we got nothing.

Can't believe this.

Now both ankles are broken. Yesterday it was just that one, now both are hot glued together.

I noticed that too from a couple other DCC figures Superman for instance.

Good, so a confirmation that Wave 1 will have more runs with better plastic and that you'll be able to tell them apart from the original Wave 1 duds from the covered joint/hip holes. I'm glad I only bought Catwoman and left her carded.

If they do indeed make good on the quality control issues of the plastic and cover the hip holes in the future like they said they are, this has potential to be the best 6" line of action figures yet.

I'm definitely getting that Batmobile. I might as well start saving up now. I think the last time I owned a Batmobile was 1995 when I got the Forever Batmobile for Christmas.

Did he say they'd do more Wave 1 batches with the new plastic? I understood only the later waves will have the better plastic.

8:43 he asks if they'll go back to Wave 1 to fix the issues. At 8:55 the guy says that future production runs of Wave 1 will implement the current process with stronger plastic. 9:04 they're going to lose the pins and they won't look like Wave 1.

I wouldn't say that. They are well into production by now. But surprise, pinless figures would be great!

So, confirmed: no removable mask for Phantasm, for that reason we all know: head x body.

I was thinking here: hope when they do TAS Scarecrow, they do him based on "Trial" episode, so that he'll come with the sickle. And, of course, his best design.
