Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

yes I agree, I like the improvement for the quality of the material used but I don't like the final no scale result and for the most, the not working zip and button (I have the same model of this jacket from another manufactor paid super cheap price and all the button and zip are working), I would like to add, the old pants & jackets set have more vintage look than this (too new, and too clean) need to be weathered for sure...and this is a little bit annoying...in my opinion..

Yep, the original outfit had some nice weathering. The new set lacks it completely.

Nice catch.

^ Yeah, but I like the fit of the new jacket.

If I can't off load one of my MMS117 then I'll grab a head sculpt.
TA should be getting these back in some time soon. Can anyone remember what they went for?

I think I'll probably just try to nab the headsculpt, glasses and weapons and put them on my MMS117.

I don't see enough improvements to the outfit, and while the extra articulation at the elbows is pretty nice, it's not imperative.

With one extra step of effort and a paperclip, the old jacket looks better than the new one, in my opinion.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

As for the PERS making this look "wonky" or whatever you want to call it, Im sure it will look fine in hand. The DX12 pics really made it look googley eyed and mouth pieces more caricature-like, but once seeing it in person, they looked fine to me. And Im assuming the same will happen once I see the T-800 in person as well.

I think if I had anything to nit pick about this figure is the way the neck meets the headsculpt. Due to the PERS makes it a real eye-sore. The same thing happened with DX05 Indy.

I can't agree with you on the DX12 PERS, I've had it in hand for quite a while and it's wonky as hell. but again, if you aren happy with it that really what matters? Actually the Pers on this don't bother me half as much. It's the look of the headsculpt and yes, the neck joint. I will have it on Monday so I will see myself.

Those that have mentioned that this simultaneous release has anything do do with SS sub-leasing this license through HT, do you think that is true? And if so, do you think this is another case like the Star Wars license, where HT is only able to do the figures that SS has already done? T-800, Sarah Connor and T-1000, wasnt that all that SS did as well? (If Im remembering correctly...)

And thats why we got this "double dip DX" instead of a full on Battle Damage?

Doesn't explain battle-damaged Luke though.

I don't know what figure to buy?
Hot Toys Terminator from T1 (mms136) or DX10?

That's hard to answer. They both have really different looks and represent different movies.

mms136 is the best figure hot toys ever produced imo, can not go wrong with that figure hands down, however this dx10 with the new revised head sculpt has really impressed me so far and I think it will be a big win in hand. These two figures do represent two differant movies so it depends which one you like better. At this point in time at the price points each are at currently I would get the dx10 for value but ether choice is good.

Well lets put it this way MMS136 is far more unanimously praised.

This figure....well I don't think I've seen so many contradictory views on a figure in quite a while.

The T1 figure would seem to be a safer bet if other people's opinions are important to you here.

I want a 1/6 scale figure of Schwarzenegger. I was waiting for DX10 a long time and it doesn't look so good in my opinion from this pics. Maybe i should wait for youtube review. I already have T-1000 and i want Arnie from the same movie but i don't like this figure( DX10). What do you think?Should i buy Arnie from T1 or wait for another hot toys attempt at T-800 from T2?
