Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Hey guys, I was hoping you could help me, can you tell me how stiff the PERS is for this figure? Does it feel like it might break, or has anyone had theirs break? I really want to change the eye position often when I get mine, but I'm nervous about that.

And also, has anyone had any staining on the head from the sunglasses? I heard that might happen with some figures, but will I be ok as long as I don't leave them on too long (like for many weeks)?

Thanks for any help! And I wanna say the pics here are fantastic, HT should use some of them to show off the likeness! :clap

hogwash on the staining, that's enterbay's department...

as for the eyes, have you ever moved them before? They are initially "stuck" in position the first time you get them from being frozen so long. Just slowly wiggle side to side, you'll start to see them move... if you go slow you won't break anything. If by some freakness you do... that thing isn't doing what it's suppose to :dunno... take it back...

Thanks for the reply! No I didn't actually get mine yet (I think next week), but I wanted to ask someone before I actually moved the eyes myself, I generally don't use PERS as the risk doesn't seem worth it, but I won't be able to resist with this figure! I'll follow what you just wrote to be safe! :) And I'm relieved about the sunglasses, I'm happy I asked! Thank you again! :D

seeing dutch standing next to the dx it occurs to me that that figure still holds up really well til even today, its a great likeness. Sure it could be improved opon but still looks great imo:clap

I'm CONVINCED pics with flash make this HS too smooth and young looking. IN hand it looks much better and closer to Ahhhnold.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Your pics have inspired me to take new ones tonight....
that's a very cool pose.
if i ever make a version using the grenade launcher, i'll copy that one )
just think that his head should be a lot more "up". that's how he was in that scene.

sick work on the arm P.

did we get an update?
well yeah i posted them...
but didn't manage to find my post.
i'll repost pics if you want to see them. :)
...oh i found it. though for some reason i cannot see pictures in opera, but they work in firefox.
ok here it is.
"WTF is with my hand" variant.

Thanks for the compliments guys. :hi5:

For Sixth Sith I will post a group shot for you soon :wink1:.

To Skull, I completely agree that Dutch is still a great looking Arnie :).

To EcKo, I loved your current pics & you should make a Dutch with the DX body & hs cause it looks awesome :yess:. And Arnie's singing is the best.:lol

To BadMuthaDude the long neck & rubber body on Dutch are the two things I dislike about this figure. He definitely looks better once you mod the inside of the hs to fit better and upgrade the body to the KP one. Also, the long neck doesn't look as bad with the jacket on. :)

To spindrift you are absolutely right about the flash washing out all of the details on the hs, but I had to use it cause my overhead lights suck :lol.

And last, but not least to P I love the endo arm & compliment on the pose. I think the hs is in a great spot to hide the neck gap, but feel free to improve upon it. I look forward to seeing your pics :hi5:. Here is another shot of the same pose at a different angle, so you can see the hs position better. :)

So the MMS arms fit the DX torso without a problem? Do you know if it also works the other way around, if the DX arms fit the MMS torso?
I'm thinking about buying an Arnold Truetype so I can swap arms on the DX13, as he seems to have the old arms in the prototype shots (because of the interchangeable BD arm).

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I wonder could it be that HT has made the BD arm on DX13 in the style of the old MMS117/136 body but the other intact arm in the style of the new body with the doublejoint. That way the right arm could still hold the pistol up at a tighter angle for the bit of the film in my Sig image.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I've been wondering that too. It's just too weird that they'd make the new body with double jointed elbows then not use them on the next figure.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Since I wanna add the DX to my collection soon, I thought I need a new arrangement and also since it needed to be symmetric, I tried a new pose on my MMS.
Let´s call it a mod of the "Pescadero elevator exit".

What do you guys think?!

That looks fantastic mate. I love the T-1000 running pose, that tense look of his upper body as he takes the bullets looks straight out of the film.
