I am very proud of the boys tonight. Yes they lost but, they played like a team. They showed that they can win with the best of the business. Go EAGLES!

Yeah, they gave my Patriots hell... That's for sure. It was one Hell of a game. Thank God for that big interception at the end of the 4th Q, or we might have lost this one.

I honestly think this is going to be a good game. Philly reminds me a lot of the Giants from last year. Getting hot right as the playoff run started.

Still pissed that the NFL is ^^^^ing over the Ravens by making them play on a short week :emperor

Who's to get?... They've signed a solid OL to replace Runyan-- the "O" line is aging.

Sure they could go for a splashy signing but that's what Washington does, and look how well that works out for them.:lol

Needs-- A power back for short yardage situations and someone to take the load off Westbrook now that Buckhalter (and his often hurt knees) is gone, a receiving threat (Houzmandsadah? [sp?]-- horrific yards after catch and his age isn't a bonus).

Let's see where things stand after the draft in April.

Oh I understand. However Dawk was different. He was the heart and soul of this entire team. The fans know that as well. The few games I was actually able to go to it was amazing how loud the place erupted when he came out of the tunnel. No other player got the applause and screams like B-Dawk. It is a sad day for me. It really is. He was one of my two favorite players to ever grace the uniform. The only other is Randal Cunningham. That's it. B-Dawk is gone! Sad Face! :monkey2

For me it was Reggie White and Jerome Brown (RIP both), then Randall, followed closely by Donovan and Dawkins...

I was sad to see him sign with the Broncos-- but, and it's a little but, his age matched with the contract he wanted wasn't a viable option. He got a good contract with Denver which I'm happy about-- but the Eagles have shown in the last ten years that (albeit it's hard) when a player reaches a certain age they'd rather turn to youth than pay more for less. It hurts now but it'll be a good thing in the long run.

I don't know. I am bitter about this one. I could swallow Staley, Trotter, and Douglas. But Dawk? Nope! I just can't take it. The Broncos guaranteed him $7.5 Mil with a potential to hit $17 Mil. The Eagles are $48 mil under their cap. They also have been under paying Dawk IMO. They could have done a team leader better than that. You know that old saying :

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and expecting a different result.

Well that's the Eagles formula on how not to win the big game. It starts in the front office. And with bone head decisions like this I can see why they fail at times.

Hopefully I am wrong though. ;)

I look at it this way-- there's been only one team in the NFC last 8 years that's been consistently at the top (ie aiming for the NFC Championship Game) and that's the Eagles. Other NFC team rise and then fall subsequently (Rams, Bucaneers, Panthers, Seahawks, Giants... next the Cards?)-- The Eagles might have had five kicks at the can and only gotten through once out of the five-- But they are consistently there. Something in their off-season philosophy has to be keeping them competitive.

It'll be hard seeing Weapon-X in a Broncos uniform (it was harder seeing Randall wearing the Cowboys' star)-- but if it means that they make another run at the NFC championship for another three or four years then it'll be a sacrifice that's worth it.
