Re: Enterbay to release Jack Bauer 24 figure

Oh wow...I received mine from them just one week ago.

Re: Enterbay to release Jack Bauer 24 figure

Does anyone know where Jack's gun holster mounts to?

Re: Enterbay to release Jack Bauer 24 figure

^I think the only thing you can do is mount it to the side of his pants.

I'm curious, how hard is it to take off the clothes of Jack and replace them with new ones? And is anyone considering getting new clothes from him (if not from the Medicom season 5, maybe from somewhere else)?

You can also mount Jack's holster at the side of the Kevlar vest. But, I'm thinking about purchasing a shoulder Holster for his gun. Something like this:

Shoulder holsters are different, so I'll have to get one that can fit beneath his Kevlar vest.

Re: Enterbay to release Jack Bauer 24 figure

Just get a belt, the holster is useless without it. And don't put it on the vest, that's just plain wrong!

Um, no it's not "plain wrong". Some holsters are specially designed to be carried at the sides of Kevlar vests. Here's one example:

Notice in the picture how the holster is positioned on the left side of the vest, while the handle of the sidearm points outward to allow easy access for the right hand. That being said, there is nothing wrong with putting Jack's holster on his vest, and it fits quite perfectly - as if Enterbay designed the vest with the holster in mind.

But, personally, I'd still rather a traditional drop down leg holster (or better yet, a shoulder holster).

The shoulder holster looks coolest, but I now see the form and function of mounting it on the vest. Thanks Solidus01.:D

Hey, no problem! :D

There are two elastic straps on either side of the vest. So, just attach the holster to the left strap. Also, try to position the holster as forward as you can, so that it's not directly under the arm pit.

Thanks again, I was going to try to attach it to the inner part of the vest, but that sounds more feasible.

Btw guys, I'm interested in customizing my Bauer figure. The USP compact that came with the figure, looks very cheap indeed. However, I'm having a lot of problems finding an alternate 1/6 USP (especially on Ebay). Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

Also, can you recommend any other weapons/rifles for the figure? I was thinking about giving Bauer either an XMB or an M4.

I would go with a BBi or Hot Toys G36c, though they can get pretty pricey:

Or you can go with a good 'ol Dragon MP5 or MP5SD. They can be had for cheap, and are nicely detailed.

Yeah -- I was figuring I'd add a thing or two to Bauer's arsenal ... a belt, a PDA, an MP5, maybe a P226 or Glock19, and possibly a shotgun. This week, he killed a guy with a screwdriver -- anyone sell 1/6 scale flat-head screwdrivers?

There are all kinds of 1:6 tool sets on ebay. They come with screw drivers, hammers, wrenches which could come in handy for those pesky interrogations. Heck I recently missed out picking up a hack saw to add to his "bag of doom".:lol

Hey, thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, Hot Toys does seem expensive. But, can you tell me how do the Dragon weapons, compare to Hot Toys in terms of quality?

Re: Enterbay to release Jack Bauer 24 figure

Yea, my biggest disappointment this season is that the body count is so low! Well, at least in term's of Jack personally.

They are fairly comparable, but HT weapons are a bit oversized. Most have nice weathering, and detailing, but can run on the expensive side.

Dragon weapons are generally less weathered, but are equally detailed in terms of sculpt, with removable magazines/molded bullets, retractable stocks, etc.

IMO Soldier Story makes the best M4's and 1911's (.45's), Dragon the best M16's, sub-machine guns, and sniper rifles.

Btw, I'm not sure if it's a USP, but Soldier Story's CIA SAD OPS figure comes with a very nice and similar looking handgun w/removable silencer, but it's hard to find.
