I'm annoyed with the media period. None of them can seem to report unbiased stories, seem to prey on the weak, and generally can be downright misleading. They sensationalize everything.

I certainly think they over-sensationalized the entire thing. Stop playing into the terrorists' hands, media. I don't know about you guys, but didn't see a "nation in terror" or a "nation weeping", etc. I saw a nation unafraid, defiant and proud. I saw police and emergency workers relentlessly and mercilessly hunt down a couple of misguided scumbags who didn't accomplish anything but pi$$ off the most powerful country in the world.

Unfortunately a lot of that anger is going to be directed to ordinary, peaceful Muslims. Nice job, jihadists.

I'm disappointed by the lack of transparency and followup. I'm also fairly astounded with how little regard many of us have for holding law enforcement to a higher standard.

All it takes is an emergency of some sort and the constitution might as well be toilet paper.

This is the problem. We have the bill of rights for a reason. It wasn't created to be ignored by an armed force who deems it necessary to bypass in order to do their job. I honestly believe Americans have forgotten what their rights are or just are so ignorant that they simply don't care.

In this particular case they had photos of these people. Did they need to unleash a paramilitary force with LAV's rolling down the streets with 50 cal machine guns? I've personally been involved in similar exercises in the military and never do I expect our police to treat it's citizens like that. I mean seriously the one brother was at a damn party. They interviewed the other in 2011. How about a little detective work before you unleash your armed forces in search of two kids and start violating innocent people? Personally I think the whole thing was mishandled.

I'm not trying to take anything away from what happened or minimize in any way the importance of getting these two. I also know it's easy to look at things in hind sight. I just think we are headed down the wrong path when our police cease to do police work and turn it into a full on military assault. I mean seriously what I saw was live MOUT training in Boston. At least in some of these video circulating.

it was a local resident who actually located the second bomber after the lockdown was lifted.

Yeah, terrorists want a disproportionate response to their action. Even if it is bad for them from a narrow perspective, it is bolsters support for their pet cause in some circles, makes them seem larger than life, and gives them fame and attention whereas otherwise they would have none. Sadly, this kind of thing enhances the potential for future attacks.
