re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It seems like the rep system is being taken way to seriously... it's fun and I think the checks and balances in place are keeping it from getting completely out of hand. It's not surprising friends would rep each other and the ones that are doing it the most are "shocker" the ones on here the most... I don't see any harm in it.

I don't mind the negative going as I can see it being more problematic, but I really can't see much of a downside to postive rep :huh
I agree!
Yeah, the only bad thing about the positive rep is all the complaints from the people who don't get any reps. ....well, make some good posts and make some friends instead of complaining all the time and maybe you'll get rep too. People take things too seriously for sure.
You hit the nail on the head! Heck, I rep just about anybody who comes in the cantina, if they make a contributing post. It helps me rotate around my 25. A year from now, any regular board member will have the max 11 anyway. Heck, a month from now after everyone in this thread has 11, we'll be repping other people MORE since it makes no sense to rep someone with 11!
You have 90 days to return an item. Just do that! Buy it now, then buy again with the double rewards and return the new set. Woo!! :)
Ummm, I see a possible flaw in this logic. If you return something during a double points period, will they take away double points? That's what TRU does during their rewards promos. I guess it would really depend on how their rewards system is set-up. Kmart and Best Buy take away the correct points.
I wasn't going to get the LEGO movie posters, but they hooked me by giving me the first two with my Simpsons house. I'm gonna have to go back this week and next for Lord Business and Batman. :lol :lol :lol
What was poster #1? I never saw that one...
My handlebar mustache lasted a week. R.I.P. curly 'stache. :D
Awwwww! I'm still growing my beard, til winter is over...

.

I was thinking Steve could just return it on the January receipt. He'll still keep the March purchase and have the double points. The only points he will lose will be the 199 from this month.

Oh, and the posters so far are Emmett and Wlydstyle.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I finally took pics of the new Godzilla figure I got. I wanted to wait to get some good natural lighting, but it's been overcast every day and I don't think that's going to chance anytime soon.

I have to say that this is the best Godzilla collectible I own. I honestly don't think Sideshow will be able to beat it with their stuff from the upcoming 2014 movie. The fantastic sculpt and paint along with the menacing design of this 2001 one is a perfect Godzilla storm.

Super sick Boba Ben congrats! X-plus makes some great Godzilla stuff. I believe I heard this was a older kit X-plus required. Pretty beast.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

That Godzilla is amazing. Love it.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

and it's easy to kid around with you, fury. I also blame all the cantina newbies.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Bastard! It is 10 degrees here. We're lucky if we get above freezing! No days above freezing in the 10 day forecast...

It's been around 100 or more here for the last week... too hot to do much that doesn't involve air conditioning. But it's cooling to about 90 for the next week or so, just about right to hit the Sydney beaches on the weekend. Mmmmmm, Bondi chicks. :drool

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Ben, that Godzilla looks great! Congrats!

Ha, yeah. I've seen different ones done over the years with R2 & 3PO. The card quality there looks like **** though. Maybe I'll try to make my own one day.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the reverse seasons. I used to think it was funny that my mom was born during a blizzard in July.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My wife is running me ragged today... I did get laid while doing chores though, so I'm cool with it.

Now now. Let's not call if chore just because you can't keep up :p

You get laid every time you turn around. Must be nice.

This is what I'm thinking ! :lecture:

Sad but true.

I think you misunderstood me. Basically, I'm asking if you are certain that points are tied to a RECEIPT, or do they go by DATE? At TRU, they are not tied to a receipt. They go by date. If you could buy something today and earn 100 points, and return it during a double points period, 200 are taken away, even though you only earned 100 when you bought it. Unless you have ever returned something during a double points period, you may not know the answer.

LOVED the Godzilla pics, Ben! I didn't want to quote that cute post, but I really enjoyed them. The only downside to owning that is having the space to display it, cuz it is kinda large.

Oh!!! Then I don't know. Punk will be our guinea pig then. :lol :lol

I didn't want to wake up this early, but I did. I need to go out and shovel, but I think I'll wait a few hours til it warms up... We're gonna hit 30 today. A heatwave!
