I have a couple of nitpicks with the film, but the decisions they made make sense, for the most part. It also connected with my girlfriend. She *hates* Star Wars, but enjoyed this. It succeeded, because it's not just for us, nor should it be.

I was smiling through most of it. I hear a lot of fans my age complaining about the "street" humour, modern sensibilities etc.

What the **** was anyone expecting? The year is 2015 and this has to connect with everyone, including a youthful demographic that doesn't know or care how we feel about the big new movie.

The media and advertising landscape is completely different. Have fun with it.

I absolutely loved it. My wife and I had meh seats and we still loved every minute of it. Near perfect. A few knitpicks but overall I can't wait to see it again. Even my wife wants to go again. Definitely can't wait for the next one and of course I'll spoiler tag it since I'm not a total ****.

If Rey isn't Luke's daughter I'm going to be pissed at that red herring. From the X-Wing helmet she put on, to the lightsaber "speaking to her" to her strong connection to the Force, it's set up so heavily. Although I liked the Kylo twist of being seduced by the LIGHT side. Rey is definitely the figure I want to pick up

I am in love with this film, my favorite of all of them because it perfectly captured the feel of the OT and infused new life into it. I cannot wait for Episode VIII.

It was ok, but not great. I would have been disappointed had it not been for the fact that I was going in expecting EP 1 all over again. To me is was a bad remake of EP 4 and 5 combined.
