I have at least six sets. :google

I just reread the article and it stated that it will have the '04 versions( with I already own) and the theatrical releases will be the bonous material..soo that will be 2 sets of the "special" edition OT...1 set of the theatrical OT...1 set of PT...1 set OT in HD DVD...1 set PT in HD DVD...1 set OT in 3-D... & finally 1 set of PT in 3-D....thats insane:google ..and I'll probably own all of them!!

THis is great news. I am not really digging the added footages or even the added computerized environment in the remastered editions. The magic is just not there. :monkey4 Its great that its finally coming, just took him how longggggggggggg????????:maul

I hope this post is dripping with sarcasm...

I am looking forward to seeing Lando's clapping at the end of ROTJ. That always kills me.:rotfl

So many great moments are back... Grandmother Emperor w/ Chimpanzee eyes ;) , Kick-ass Boba Fett voice, a RED Vader saber, no stupid ROTJ Jabba's Palace song, Han shoots first, and on and on....

EXACTLY Eldwood.....why Georgie Porgie tinkered with them in the first place is beyond me..

Even if there is a lot of $ milking involved, I consider this good news. I'm looking forward to the release of the original films, mostly for nostalgia reasons. My happiness would be complete, if someone would decide sometime soon that the original Blade Runner with voice-over and all would be released also...

Whilst it comes as no great surprise to anyone this is indeed AMAZING NEWS!

Price of DVD set $40.00
Watching the buggers in DVD quality - Priceless!

Woohoo! Fantastic news!

I don't care if all George wants is my money, so long as he gives me the original OT. I'll cheerfully pay for it! (And I may even hum the yub yub song while I'm doing it.) :)

Awesome, awesome, awesome. CustomMikey is right, squeeze my tits till they bleed. I can't wait! :chew

really there are only two reasons to even buy this DVD set...

Lapti Nek and the YUB YUB song at the end of ROTJ.

For me that would be two reasons NOT to buy these...

My only two reasons to buy are "Han shoots first" & "No Jabba in Ep. IV".

That's all, everything else works great for me!

:emperor

Well, I've got my trusty dusty VHS tapes of the OT set, and those
have served me well, but now I may actually be able to upgrade to
DVD, as I didn't purchase the "special" editions.

Good news indeed!
(but it is only done for money, not the fans, in my opinion)

I don't know if I'll buy these, but I'm happy that Lucas listened to the fans and is giving them what they've been asking for.

Not that it'll stop the whining. Obviously.

I prefer the cleaner versions with better graphics, despite the few mis-steps of the special editions.
