We're all ignorant masses, some will pretend to have the moral high ground but are just as immature as the rest.

Lol. Eamon: you know this crusade of yours isn't going to change people's minds, right?

Also, be careful with making generalizations about people. You are engaging in the exact cognitive chunking that you claim others are doing (discrediting film before seeing it). You might as well give up trying to change those "Warriors'" minds. Just not the way conflict resolution works.

This the point I'm at as well. Before the trailers I was willing to give it a chance. The movie looked like **** to a lot of people and I was disappointed because the premise didn't sound bad to me. I thought, OK fine, I'll stay home for this one, just another stupid unnecessary reboot I'll catch randomly at some point in the future. Then of course the YouTube dislikes became a story for some *unknown* reason and the cast and director felt the need to start throwing around insults and labeling people. That's when they completely lost me. Now hearing some of the details of the man hatred in this movie(which I don't see refuted anywhere) has cemented my feelings. I won't go so far as to call someone a cuck for going to see it though. There's always curiosity to see how truly good or bad something really is, but they haven't done anything to earn my money.

And, instead of trying to shame people for having a negative opinion, why not aim that backlash toward the studio for making the movie look like crap in the trailers, and tv promos, and movie clips? If it's really better than the trailers convey, that's not the fault of fans on the internet.

I know right? When I first heard about it, I just rolled my eyes ala "another one huh?"... And kept scrolling, but then it became a bastion of female empowerment, and to be honest, it's quite sad that they use an Adam Sandler-tier, lowest common denominator comedy to empower themselves (You could've used Fury Road, Girls! but coughyoudidn'tseeitcough) but anyway, their choice, but then everyone who didn't like it was a macho pig? :rotfl At this point it's not so much hate as it is just pity for the poor nu-male chumps who buy into this because it's just a movie.

I hope it's funny. My mom passed away and I need something to laugh at, even if it's just stupid stuff.

It's not at all hard to feel on moral high ground with level of smarts on display here by some (not to be confused with all)

As I said many here dumped on a thing based it having girls in and before seeing it. Don't think for a second I feel I am on the wrong side of the argument here regardless of the amount of memes or gifs folks can find.

I wasn't aware you called the shots around here Crow but fair enough and I hope I have proved that I am not being stubborn. I know well it's not a patch on the original but I was never expecting it to be and that is just futile. Though I understand stand the trailer was a big issue, we just need to go the very first few posts on this very thread where you sill see plenty of folks just hating on the idea of this movie and having female Ghostbusters. My issue is with those. If you didn't like it after actually seeing it fine. But I think you are a narrow minded cretin to dump on thing before even seeing it. And folks are defending that stance like it has legs and it just doesn't. Many here giving me flack have not seen it. You have so flack away.

I am guessing that thsse who have an issue with Holtz licking the gun are the same ones who don't see an issue with how April O'Neil is depected in the new TMNT movies. Which would make my point clear to those with intelligence. But by all mean correct me if I am wrong there.

Folks can think what they like by all means, but I am not dumping on something that I have not seen. I am not dumping on something because it has girls in it. We live in world where there folks actively trying to effect this movie with actual IMD Database interference. That's how bad it's gotten. Folks are that small and petty as to actually gp out of their way to be nasty about an art form with people with souls in it. These folks worked hard on this movie like they do on most movies...except maybe the Hang Over movies. :D

I am not doing that. I am not going out of my way to crap on something. So don't any naysayers for one second think they are doing themselves proud and are not sad pathetic little bitches with no lives. You keep going out of your way to be nasty about a movie then what else would a person think.

Some of you are STILL saying amazing sexist stuff and still denying that's what it is. I don't think some here understand sexism and instead get very nasty when called on it. And yet look how defensive some got here today. It's funny if it wasn't so depressing that some folks still think this way in the 21st century.

I will put good money that in the next two posts, someone will say something they think is an good argument and further prove my point of ignorance. Hoping somebody can surprise me here....

Interesting points. I have seen it. Didn't like it at all as I said before.
I 100% agree with you on April, I don't like Megan Fox playing her. For the record I would have picked Alison Bree to play her.

I don't think sexism is a factor (for most people), I think that has been a small issue exploited by marketing. For example a bunch of girls I work with went to see this and they have never seen the original movies. Some liked it some didn't. They went to see what the fuse was about. The issue of sexism in this case has put asses on seats in the cinema.

While on the issue of sexism, did you not pick up on the anti-male current in this movie?
Every male is either portrayed as an ******* or as a complete idiot. I'm pretty sure Kevin is mentally disabled and should not have a license to ride a motor bike. Like the guy doesn't know how to answer the phone, thinks covering his eyes will stop him hearing sounds. Seriously. That's not comedy, that's stupid.
