Damn, so what is the Dimli lady up to now, 30 figures??

I bet she grabbed them up for about $10 a piece at some clearance sale. She's probably got a mattress stuffed with money now though! :rotfl

As for the lurkers, I'm betting your right iCruise. We should use Pix's idea and torture them into posting by rubbing it in their faces with a "Found one. I'll PM you the link."

Hey Kuzeh, found an $8 option for you. It's used but the damn thing will be butchered anyway. Check your PM. :rotfl

EDIT: Actually, it's new. Just listed that way.

Found this on ebaY. Ignite's Knight chainmail. All ya really need to do is chop off the hands and it's fairly cheap too, won it for $5:

Might not match the mail the other guys have but I think there should be differences between armors with races anyway. And the Dwarves, being forgers, should have nothing short of the best!

What is that made of? It looks good.

Not sure. I'm just impressed with how it looks!:lol Also, you guys might want to pick up a fat suit. The DiD clothes are way baggy even on their own body and with Gimli being barrel-shaped, it'd even him out more, make the clothes fit better, make the shoulders look narrower, and the larger axes stick better in the back of his harness:

It was produced by Soldier Story for their "Kirby" Green Beret figure (John Wayne knockoff). Monkey Depot had them in stock but are all sold out now so my best guess would be to keep trying MD until they get them back in stock or try VikingPlayground or another 1:6 military store.

Not to be nitpicky, but didn't Gimli get his mail shirt (hauberk?) at Helm's Deep? I seem to recall him slipping it on and finding it way too long in the sleeves and tails. So, technically, he would have been wearing human-made chainmail.

That being said, the Ignite mail definitely looks good. Hate to think how much it would cost to add the Viking figure to the "recipe" just for the mail, though. This custom is already approaching the $100 mark.

If that's true, I can live with it. It's that damn cool looking :p and any details like that which can be added will bring it that much closer to a Sideshow release anyway. As for picking up the Viking figure for $100 to get it, why do that when you can find the mail loose on ebaY for $5? Same with the fat suit. I wouldn't buy a Kirby figure to get it, just wait until it pops up loose at a retailer or ebaY.
