It’s going to truly suck if King G gets the least screen time, but I see it coming ..or Rodan

Looks like Rodan got the best new upgrade. He's not just a big goofy bird anymore.

He always looked the least menacing anyway. In the films they focused more on him flying supersonic. I’m glad he looks scary now

Lots of bad CGI(I know it's not finished as you say)
Really looks bad- the monster shots are great but the live action parts look like stuff I've seen 100X before.

A huge bomb. Why it was made after the last Godzilla is far beyond me.

Really?

He was always my #3 monster.

Here's my top 3...in reverse order. I wish I owned these...

Mothra was #6

That and Monthra spreading the wings

Yeah. And its interesting that Mothra seems to resemble a Luna Moth in this interpretation. Coupled with the claire de lune music...pretty neat stuff going on

Gamera is NOT Toho.

And Gamora is from GOTG.

Gamora is also an Ultraman Kaiju :lol

So this is a re-imagining of Ghidorah: the Three-headed monster...? Or they just use the same monsters from that?

Why didn't they just jump to Destroy ALL Monsters and be done with the MonsterVerse?

It seems a lot more derived from the 2001 film GMK. Ghidorah was encased in ice there too and more of a spirit animal. I doubt the spirit stuff will come into play in this one though

Will this Mothra have the two nymphs, fairies, enchantresses or whatever they were :lol

Godzilla was my first love as a child. I remember very little in pop culture before Godzilla. Basically it went Godzilla then Underdog then everything else :lol

Back in the day you had to wait for channel 11 out of NY to have a marathon to see any of these.. I did get to see Godzilla on Monster Island (AKA G vs Gigan) and Godzilla vs Mechgodzilla in the theaters upon initial release back then (Yes I am old)

So yeah.. What Jye said.. My Mind is blown that the big 4 are in a big Hollywood Monster movie. I loved some of the viusals in the trailer.. The music was a bit of a turn off and I am not a fan of the mythical monsters are what keeps nature in balance plots.. I prefer Monsters are just Bad news plot lines.

But my inner 4 yr old is doing back flips and I am excited.

Give me plenty of monsters and destruction and you are 75% there for me.

I loved Trick r Treat and Krampus so I have confidence in this director.

I think this will be a big / Huge step up from the first film and perhaps the coolest Godzilla film ever (yes that is my inner 4yr old talking)

Ultraman had some excellent monsters. I always remember that black-and-white seahare thing. A lot of silly ones too. Like that Johnny Sokko Giant Robot movie "Voyage into Space". The Gargoyle Vine was scary but what the hell was that Lycan monster with the beads for hair and some bling gold chain? :lol

NECA confirmed they're working on all monsters that appear in the film, not just big G. Deluxe packaging and out before film hits next year etc. The thought of having my first Ghidorah figure. :drool

Speaking of the big guy, is that supposed to be Mothra flying below him? Just how ****ing big is this dude? :lol

Hey when Jonny Sokko flew Guillotine into space on his suicide mission I balled for the entire night :lol

:rotfl

Why'd all those Japanese kids wear those shorts back then? I remember that kid: Come back, Giant Robot! Come back!

*cue sad yet strange Japanese music accompanied by female singer*

Giant Robot: Grandaddy of the Transformers.

Oh man those shorts so vividly remember them lol

Well the director has confirmed that the studio asked for “more than” double the monster screen time as a direct response to G14 complaints AND that there is a “big” surprise in the movie.

So double of G14 monster screen time should give us 16 minutes worth of monsters in this movie. :lol

So I was at the beach today and didn’t have a chance to watch the trailer until now.

First, I love the connection that there is always someone or a group of people in these movies that fears these creatures making man extinct, Joe Brody, Landa, etc.

Now for the visual feast we got, I’m blown away, it’s beyond what I could have imagined, I knew the potential that a Hollywood budget could offer would deliver better action between these monsters than ever before, but now it really looks and feels like the fate of the world resting on the outcome of this is huge, the stakes feel real. The power of all the monsters is very clear.

The only thing I’m iffy on at the moment is Godzilla’s evolved look, and not that it necessarily looks bad, but that for continuity sake, I hope the plot explains it and this isn’t just a CGI version of moving onto a new suit, if that’s the case, I would totally redesign him and not just minorly.

He looks the same to me. :lol

I’m more curious how it went from just Vegas and San Fran being destroyed to what they’re showing here.

Imagine a cgi Hedorah. :lol
