I never thought I'd say this, but, it's going to be hard to top what The CW is doing.:lol Seriously, though, Arrow and The Flash; I'm really trying to get into Gotham, and I'm still on the fence about it, but it almost felt like a chore to watch it. I watched The Flash first, and I almost didn't even want to watch it, which isn't a good sign. It seems like my worst fear is becoming reality, which is that this show is getting tedious very quickly.

Frankly, I wish that DC and WB would remove the stick that is oh-so-firmly planted in their ***, and just let The CW make a Batman show. It's clear the interest is, at least, somewhat there. The whole "Wayne Enterprises" Easter egg on Flash, and the fact that Arrow's swiped about 80% of Batman's rogues gallery. I don't get it. If ever there was a character completely and utterly fit for television, it's Batman. He's relatively grounded, so the budget shouldn't be too bad outside of the occasional Clayface and Man-Bat episode, he's ridiculously iconic, so, finding a core audience shouldn't be too difficult, and the fact that he has the best damn rogue's gallery in comics is a sure fire way to keep coming up with new stories to tell.

last episode was pretty lame.. if there would not be Oswald..it would be terrible...

I really liked it at the begin.. but not sure if it can hold up excitement. every week another case.. that gets "closed" after 45min ... up to the next 45min villain ..

Almost all shows take time. Agents of Shield took time and IMO it's really good now. I swear people rip everything to shreds and bring out the pitch forks if it isn't BRILLIANT 2 weeks in. Hopefully the show will build steam. Time will tell.

Exactly. I like spending time in the universe they've created thus far. I am willing to forgive a lot while they figure out how best to work it. There are several dynamics that already have my full attention. I definitely want to see more.

So, will Gordon have to report to Bruce every episode and fill him in on the case of the week?

The show is very very good but the Bruce/kid thing is forced and dumb. I don't believe the dialogue coming out of the kid's mouth could be his.. They need to fix the Bruce thing or jettison him and go on.

Calm down.

A large scary black man that you don't walks up to you and asks you to look inside a steel pipe and steel pipe takes you out....Sums up what is wrong with the damn writing in this show. And Jada Smith can not act worth a damn, maybe that's why they cancelled that show she starred on TNT?

There are kids like this. They make the news once in awhile. Some are just smarter, and more educated than others are. He's probably getting the best education money can buy.

I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday and am mildly entertained but not overly impressed. I like the Penguin and Bullock (but I think that's because the actor is one of my favorites) but that's about it. I absolutely can't stand watching Jada--she is by far the worst thing about this show so far. I'm also getting sick of being reminded every episode that Gordon is a good cop surrounded by *******s. Montoya is annoying and the relationship between her and Barbara is too forced and random. It's got potential but it just hasn't figured out what show it wants to be yet. I feel like since I kept watching Arrow and it went from **** to gold I'll keep giving Gotham the benefit of the doubt. I just hope they trim some fat soon.
