Huh. I really wonder how they'll pull of Parallax then.

Actually, he was totally down, and has said many times he would wear the mask, and don the make up.

He wasnt going to bull____ this. Which is why I'm sad. So no. I dont think it was worth it, for me...because I love Deadpool and dont know ____ about GL.

So i'm a bit pissed about this.

When was it said that Ryan Reynolds is going to pass on Deadpool? All I heard was that he's focussing on Green Lantern right now. I doubt the Deadpool movie has been canned, especially with talks of Robert Rodriguez directing it.:dunno

We've already seen Deadpool on the silver screen:

Next.

Despite this crap i liked the wolverine movie. I just wish deadpool wasnt baraka.

No thanks. I'll take my Deadpool glasses over something I dont know much about...nor really care too.

But I wont be a douche about it. I know nothing about GL, so I cant comment on it. Only interest I have in this movie is one of my favorite directors is making it, and it stars one of my favorite actors.

I wont bad mouth the film because it's not the fault of the movie. It would be the fault of WB for not letting an actor act.

I have no doubt this film will be amazing....but it still will leave me empty. Knowing what I could've had.

I rate this take on him... the eyes are really well designed and will allow the audience members unfamiliar with him to able to relate because of the softness of them. He looks approachable. :hi5:

For me thats the issue...he DOES look approachable. Kilowag should look opposing, intimidating, impatient, commanding....not approachable!

Deadpool shouldn't be made into a Live action flick.. because they CAN NOT do it justice.

I hope this movie is good. and I fear for Thor and Capt.

Details on GL's villains, from CBM. Contains spoilers, click to read:

- Krona becomes the first "host" to Parallax, the universal personification of fear. This takes place as a prologue of the film.

- Parallax doesn't just feed off of fear, it rips the souls out of it's victims; leaving dried "husks" of the corpses.

- Parallax/Krona attacks Abin Sur's ship, which causes him to crash land on Earth and die.

- While performing an autopsy on the corpse of Abin Sur, Hector Hammond becomes infected by a fragment of Parallax which causes him to gain exponential telepathic and telekinetic powers.

- Hammond attacks Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris (whom he harbors feelings towards) at the Ferris airfield hanger, a similar scene to the one in the Green Lantern Secret Origins comic; the difference being that Hammond wants Hal's Green Lantern ring.

- Hammond is ultimately killed by Parallax, who absorbs his soul in the manner mentioned above.

- Parallax fights Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris (in a fighter jet) on Earth. The fight is unevenly matched until other members of the Green Lantern Corps arrive.

Why the ____ did I read that....lol. :lol

I didnt think it would give away EVERYTHING that happens in the movie....:lol

I seriously hope the sequel comes sooner than later, as seeing Blake as Star Sapphire > Parallax. And Parallax is schweeet!

First look at Bzzd:

It has already been revealed that the entire 3,600 Green Lantern Corps members who patrol the similarly numbered sectors of the universe will cameo in next summer's live action superhero adaptation, Green Lantern. To top it off, at least two dozen alien Lanterns will have center stage roles; one of which is Bzzd. For those who aren't familiar with the character, here's a brief bio: Although Bzzd was no bigger then a housefly, his tremendous willpower allowed him to be a capable fighter in the Green Lantern Corps. Bzzd's power was evident in his penchant for creating constructs that were massive in scope when compared to his diminutive size, like locomotives and full scale roller coasters.

And here is your first (albeit unfinished) look at the character, who happens to be a favorite of the film's director, Martin Campbell:

I wonder what part Sinestro plays in all this? Will he just portray Hal Jordan's Mentor throughout this movie?
It's just that Sinestro is the reason Parallax went after Jordan, right?

Yes and kind of.

Yes to your question about Sinestro, it has been confirmed that he will not be any kind of villain in this film as it was in all three recent origin tales about Hal.

Kind of that Sinestro caused Parallax to go after Jordan. Parallax was they fear entity that was imprisoned within the Central Power Battery on Oa by the Guardians. Parallax weakened its power over the spectrum that is why a GL needs willpower to overcome great fear could master the power ring. When Sinestro was later imprisoned in the Power Battery himself, his yellow ring tapped into Parallax's power and awakened it since they shared the corresponding spectrum power using the yellow impurity. Sinestro points to Jordan as a tool of getting revenge but Parallax does all the work to influence Jordan and cause his temples to go gray, etc. eventually leading to his release and possession of Kyle Raynor. While Sinestro nudged him that way, Johns even rewrote that in saying that Parallax knew of Hal Jordan through the Guardians discussions that he was the greatest Lantern in the Galaxy and he only used Sinestro as a way to find out what he looked like and where he was.

Now all of that is wiped out by having Parallax freed without Sinestro and Parallax serving time together in the Power Battery. Unless they are planning for Sinestro as a villain for number three, you won't be able to mimic that history. Now they retconn'd Legion out of the comics but the storyline remains so its possible we'll see some of the Sinestro Corps portion of Parallax in there but its really difficult to say how they'll attract Sinestro to Parallax. Not to mention that in the books there is a huge push to make Sinestro more of an Anti-Hero with a chip on his shoulder against Jordan instead of an overall villain so we'll see how that plays out into the film version which really defects the Parallax angle where Sinestro aimed to destroy and replace the Ion based Green Lanterns and replace them with a more militarstic Sinestro Parallax based Corps.

So many great possibilities. I have high hopes for this.
