But no one top's jye's enthusiasm for a great theatrical experience.

ajp's SW commentary is first rate.

Junkion and karamazov are the funniest roasters around, even at the expense of film's I love, lol.

a-dev is as likable as I wish I was.

cerealkeller, rushmore, Wor-Gar, Prime Clone, Bravomite, Neal136, punisher1974, xipotec, and more. Just a great group right now.

I even miss SNIKT.

And a shout out to Snoop of course for holding down the fort.

Yep I love getting updates on JAWS' army building 1/4 Predators and Bruce statues being led into battle by Iron Studios Vader.

I’m looking forward to sharing our opinions on the 2019 movie season.

I get they needed to hype the movie, but part of me feels like all the ‘78 traits they did bring back, should have been a secret and a surprise in the theater. We were set up to go in looking for a ‘78 style film because of all the talk before release, almost like all the Godzilla 2014 press kept talking about roots, and the result is when the final product doesn’t match your anticipation, you tend to think the final product is no good simply because it’s not what you expected. Once you set that aside, you can start appreciating what you got.

I guess that might be the big difference for me.. I went in with no expectations.. In fact I would say that I just figured it would not be all that good since nothing in the Halloween track record made me think any different. I stayed away from all reviews and this thread.. So I got a nice surprise... A Halloween film that topped the 8 of the sequel films that came before it.

Other then my JAWS items and some select statues.. I find more and more that I seem to rent this things and then sell them off

If he were here I could tell him that BP was much better with a second viewing but so was Thor 3

I would say that CW is still great and that IW might be the new best Marvel movie.

And then I would laugh in his face about how wrong he was about Venom.

For me it is actually enjoyable if I'm in the right mood despite my initial loathing of it when I first saw it one year ago, BUT when it's over I always resort back to my original opinion of it being a waste of a Thor movie aside from some excellent cast performances and good visuals.

In my mind BR 2049 and RO are up there with all my favorite films from the late 70's/early-mid 80's. If IW2 sticks the landing then I'll add IW1/2 to the list.

Mostly Thor's character.

When I watch IW and Thor 3 and then go back and watch any of the other films that Thor is in I marvel at how much better his character has become. I forgot what a dud he was before.

Plus it looks great in 4K

Don't get me wrong... When I say it gets better we are talking about it going from a 1 out of 5 for me to a 2 or 2.5 out of 5.

I would say that Black Panther moved from a 2.5 to a very solid 3 out of 5.

I do miss a lot of the other freaks that are gone. Crows and Difabio and Snikt always made the discussions more lively. I think we still have some good discussions on here and still have some fun too. I like to think no one really gets their feelings hurt by all of us ribbing each other. JYE love the Silver Surfer Signature. Your pics of your figures is always impressive. Not to derail the topic I really liked this Halloween. My favorite is 1, 4, 3 and then 18 followed by 2.

Man, his posts in that thread were entertaining. Didn't he say he left the theatre like three times after paying just because some black guys wouldn't be quiet? Having that in mind made his immense praise for BP even more amusing.

Saw this today and it's fun. A bit too by-the-numbers, but the last 20 min were pretty entertaining. Was hoping the new teenagers (ie 24 year olds passing for HS kids) were written a little more intelligently. Probably where the script did not shine for me. But, don't get me wrong, I am glad this happened. Definitely an apology for the god awful H20. Loved the homage 'twist' with the shape looking down on Laurie....She was definitely the new Loomis with a ******-ton of Annie Oakley mixed in. Moreso than the crack-pot doctor. New/old mask looked fantastic and thought the dude playing the Shape killed it. Pun intended. Did like the daughter bait/switch move with the emotions, then the 'gotcha' part.

Why was everyone so hell bent on Michael talking in the movie?

Not as painful as watching the Rob Zombie versions.

I will say this for the first RZ movie: they nailed the mask.
