I like how we all seem to have a favorite avenger in the MCU and a corresponding film that we hate because of how it treated said character.

Khev hates the original Avengers because of Cap's awful costume.

JAWS hates AoU because of Hulk getting his *** kicked.

SNIKT hates Homecoming because Spider-Man was a teenager and not a hard-R mature adult.

I hate Thor 3 because of Thor being a stupid comedian.

And jye hates BP because it wasn't directed by Michael Bay.

Captain America is still my favorite in the movie universe. Avengers costume was cool except the head gear. I liked the dark blue on the outfit but the head gear didn't look right at all.

How do you think your namesake fared on Netflix?

I liked the Punisher on Netflix. I really liked the dynamic he had in season 2 of Daredevil and would have liked him stay as mean as he was there. His show is good but they try to make him to human by having him still go by Frank. At best it would just be an alias to him as he is now really just the Punisher. Kinda like Bruce Wayne is really Batman's mask. Both are driven but Frank is all about revenge and payback and Batman is more about justice. I can't wait to watch season 2. I would love to see Bernthal's Punisher meet Evan's Captain America like the Civil war comic series.

Somehow Grace looks less hideous with her face over Davy Jones.

Going by Best Buy, this will be out on Blu-Ray January 15, so likely on digital around December 15, about a month to go. I'm eager to see a nice copy of it again. The more I come down from comparing it to what I thought it was trying to be and just think about what it is, the more I like it. I read a review the other day that pointed something out which I think makes some of the changes to Michael's behavior more acceptable, which is that his killings in this film are more metaphorical of the terrors of 2018. So while Michael is not the same as he was in '78 in specifics, perhaps he is in fundamentals. He was symbolic of something to be afraid of that you can't defeat, I don't think 2018 Myers deviates from this, he's just a 2018 embodiment of that concept in a world full of weekly headlines about attacks and such.

In a way, I would almost say a fair comparison of how to look at '78 and 2018 together is looking at Gojira '54 and Shin Godzilla in 2016. Godzilla himself wasn't identical to the '54 version that started the franchise, but in a way fitting to the time of the movie being made, he was just as symbolic in 2016 as 1954, just symbolizing different things.
