Seriously, and people are trying to offload them left and right on the sale section of the forum. If Sideshow really only had 500 to sell, then over 10% of people bought them only to flip them (if you figure in already ended auctions for Preds that sold, it's probably more like 30%). I'm not judging anyone for doing that sort of thing, but it does suck for the real fans of the figure. Oh, well. That's the way things go.

I wouldn't be bothered by the difficulty of tracking this down, if only the figure was actually numbered or had some sort of physical proof of its rarity, other than the crazy Ebay prices. It just feels like we're getting overcharged for no reason. If this figure is basically a repaint, they could've at least given him a special base or something like with the P1. Maybe the floor of the spaceship and the trophy wall would be nice.

I remember the Superman Returns figure came with a certificate of authenticity. Anything like that would have been appreciated

I just ordered a Lost last sunday from gohastings price was 130 shipped.

Lostie usually goes for around $160 to $200 these days. From what I've seen. I'd say if you're gonna get him, get him soon because he's slowly starting to go up.

I was able to get him on sale for $105 shipped, but I think the average going rate is around $160.

I put him together today and have him standing next to Guardian. They look pretty awesome together.

Yeah, I am a little upset. The hype got me excited. So excited that i blew things out of proportion. This, to me, is just another Predator 2 Predator. I did or don't want it normally. I admit, I was sucked in by the hype which was caused by the limited edition. Now I think I will just hold onto him until I feel that other figures will suit my needs greater. I feel that others feel the same way. They bought it because they were excited about a new limited figure that everyone wanted but once everything was said and done it turns out to be just another Predator and not the holy grail.

Scar Predator is mine. Love him to death. you can tell since he is not in the best shape. Shows i have got years of use out of him, posing and what not. That's my view of it, if the Predator is kept perfect then I obviously have a reason to not touch him, re-sale for example, and i also have no reason to pose them and take pictures of them.

Celtic Predator is probably my grail because I sold him in the past when I shouldn't have and he was my first Hot Toys Predator and my second Hot Toys figure after Hicks. I have a Scar though, so at least I've got that going for me.

P1 is probably my grail. He's the original and will always be the best in my book (with taylerdurdem mask that is ). Well, until they make the improved "Classic" Predator from The Predators I guess.

I think you're in for a big let down. This figure sounds like it was produced in numbers well over the 500 that was initially thought. And buying items just because others want it only leads to a lot of buyers remorse. Not hating on you just an observation.
I've been in this hobby in what seems like forever and I've never bought anything for its future value. I buy items because I like them or have some sort of connection to it. I've got stuff that means nothing and has no value to anyone but me.

I think it's up to an individual on what they would pay for a collectible. At one point I had every HT Predators and Aliens, and I paid a pretty penny for most of them.

As the saying goes, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. I just purchased another P2 Elder from a fellow board member for a nice chuck of change and a figure on top, but that's because I really wanted it and found that is was my best opportunity to do it. I know it's just a "toy" but I love these figures. I have them in my office where I look at them everyday to make me smile.

I see the P2 Elder on Amazon and certain toy websites for $1,300+. I think that's a bit extreme, but hey, if someone can get it for that, why not. It's not worth that much to me, but the deal I just did to obtain another P2 Elder was worth it to me. I had been putting cash away for this figure, so I knew how much it was gonna cost.

I personally love the Predator movies. IMHO Predator is the better movie but Predator 2 is the more fun movie. I love watching both.

Sadly, I have to agree with this. Guardian has a great paint job, but after my BD P2 and Lost, I'm really getting tired of P2. No more from that line. I was happy I got Guardian and he looks pretty cool, but I don't really feel that much from him. When you get him, the hype dies down and you realize there's not much to see. What's more, he's not worth $200 at all. I won't be buying any more P2 Predators, since I'm kind of in need of a break. I'm keeping Guardian, don't get me wrong, but I've just about had enough. I honestly don't care if they release any of the other Lost Hunters. My trio is fine with me.

Heh, getting two more AVP Preds and having a trio of those couldn't hurt. And yes, Celtic is my ultimate grail. None of the other figures I own hold a candle to how much I love that one. Took a lot of trying and saving to get to it, and he's never getting sold or traded. Hopefully, maybe next year (or sooner, depending on sales and prices) I can get him a friend.

i actually bought one(above retail), and traded my spare predator 2 BD(plus $$) to have 2 guardians. that's how much i like this figure, IMO.
i missed out on the pre-order, i really wanted this one badly because i like it. not because of the hype.
