oh man, that is very disappointing. Not sure if there is much you can do with the questionable paint but perhaps you can contact the seller about the missing knee pad?

yeah the paint isnt too big of deal but I already contacted the seller and Hot Toys customer service about the knee guard. Hopefully Hot Toys can just send a replacement piece but we'll see.

I'm hoping my three US release ones will be flaw-free....hoping is the key word though...

I mean how can a figure this expensive come missing parts?!?!? That's completely unacceptable!

Time for you to show some pics!!

Lol im really not in the mood with the missing knee guard...while its still AMAZING and looks great next to War Machine, it was really a buzz-kill to be incomplete.

I'll take some pictures later or tomorrow once my disappointment wears off and the figure's greatness takes over :D

I will say though that I had zero issues with the leg and back flaps. The leg flaps came out super easy and I didnt even use the "tool" it comes with and the back flaps as as flush as they are supposed to be.

The hip munitions are working fine as well but they are spring loaded so if you bump them enough they pop out; but the pegs are staying in as they should.

The BD chest is slightly off as other have mentioned but just ever so slightly. Heating and bending the pegs will remedy it very easily and safely.

And after getting it out of its tray the paint was much better than it seemed at first glance.

Really my only complaint is the invisible knee guard mine care with as opposed to the silver one that its supposed to have lol.

The range of motion in the torso is phenomenal (just like the IV) and even looks good and lifelike instead of plastic-like.

Its hard for me to put the figure down, until I see its knee :gah:

damn, that really sucks, Nick. I didn't even think about the QC issues people who buy early have to sometimes deal with. I guess it's part of the "paying to play" we talked about earlier:(

That sucks Nick. Hope it all works out for ya.

Oh man that sucks! hope it gets sorted for you and remaining are flawless.

Yeah, thanks guys. We'll see what happens. Worse case scenario, I part this one out and keep one of my other as my main.

I'm thinking though, I could probably sculpt a replacement knee pad myself, hopefully I can get the paint to match...

Just some quick ones...It's all I could muster up after this whole fiasco lol

After seeing that video Im kind of glad I ordered the Mk IV. I dont like the thought of pieces coming off and just dont care about battle damage. It looks exactly the same as far as body other than paint scheme and triangle.

Woohoo, my EX WL converted from SS. :)
Too bad some came with missing pieces. Will have to do a thorough check when I receive mine.

Nick, your set-up looks great.
Those Michael's cases are working out well. They still give you some room to do a decent pose.

I still worry about HT's quality control issues. This could easily have happened to anyone. We could only hope HT is paying attention and addresses the way in which they package/release their products.

Look at the bright side, if you're going to have a flaw it might as well be something like a missing knee cap which can be resolved.
It could have been worse...you could have had lots of little silver scratches all over your figure but something tells me you have those as well. :panic:

Sorry bout your luck Nick :( I have less a desire to buy Mark VI and stick with Mark IV.

its still so worth it man! this figure is purely amazing! (even without a knee guard lol)

Thanks man. I'd expect the issues to be more or less resolved by US release. So I'm not too worried about since I'll have plenty to choose from :D

To the people that think the scratches are defect lol You all must be crazy as hell lol I was upset though that the second set of armor that came with mine was all broken-looking as if it had actually been damaged in battle...terrible quality control ;)
