I haven't even taken mine out of the box yet... I'm kinda tempted to just get the Mark V and then wait and see what his costume looks like in the Avengers or Iron Man 3.

I wouldn't worry about decreasing the value by opening it. Opened ones aren't usually much cheaper, especially only a year down the road. Just open it and keep EVERYTHING in case you do decide to sell it.

I just got this from AE- OK now i'm thinking this may be greater than my favorite the MK IV- EXCEPT fot the lack of a RDJ full headsculpt! The silver is outstanding and shaded and doesn't look blah like I thought it would be. Very much a DX type of release....the battle damage parts are beautiful.

This one a $350+ figure in a few months. The more I look at him the more impressed I am...

This really is an outstanding figure. The more time I spend with him the more impressed I am. With my last Hot Toys figure being the heavy and sturdy Berserker Predator, it took me a while to get over Mark VI's hollow and frail feel, but it doesn't bother me anymore. Here's the poses I had him in yesterday and then today.

It's not something I gotta have. It would be cool to see made though even if I don't end up getting one.

I picked one of these up for a little bit over retail.

But now I'm worried about all the QC issues.

But I HAD to have this! The batle damage looks amazing!!!!! That's how I will display him all shot up. I'm normally a guy who hates battle damage varints but this one looks so freaking great! I missed the preorder but I still got one for under $300.

I also broke down and just bought a War Machine a few days ago so it's Iron Men maddness for me!

I know some others here received the exclusive version of this figure with the un-battle damaged shoulder piece missing. Has anyone heard back from Sideshow about it yet though? They sent me an e-mail saying something along the lines of they were looking into it, but I haven't heard anything since.

I finally heard back from them on Friday, they are sending me the missing shoulder armor piece.
