What do you guys think about this logic?

I have the regular Mark IV and having the Mark VI as well, was to me, a bit excessive as they are so similar looking and of course costly.

But now after I managed to score a Gun Metal Mark IV, I decided to buy this Mark VI (for what I thought was a bargain at £178) and will sell on the regular Mark IV.

I figure having the Gun Metal version of the Mark IV was plenty?!

holy damn did it blow while it was out of the figure or while it was still inside? if its the later, did it make any damages to Tony Stark?

I have mine taken out but i've since kept them stored in a sealed plastic bag but inside the box, hope they won't go off while i'm away...thats dangerous!

They started blowing out of the figure. It's easier to replace batteries than batteries leaking or exploding inside the figure and damaging internal parts to the figure. I haven't had anymore explode. It could have just been 4 fluky bad ones that caused this.

It makes sense Eamon.

From this I assume you aren't a completionist and need ever single armour, you just want one to represent him.

I say do that, because come next year you might be trading in VI for VII (or VIII)

I never thought I would go with it, but I like the faceplate up sculpt.

Great figure, though I there were more than a few issues with him outta the box. After getting replacement parts, the only noticeable flaw is a sloppy paint app on one of his torso plates. Looks great in the case with all the other figs. Gonna need a new shelf soon. I'm using an extra MkIII BD base because I haven't found a pose I like on the new one yet.

Awesome display. Mark VI looks great on the BD Mark III base!!

I got the Mark 1, 3 and 4, as well as War Machine, MT Tony Stark and Whiplash. I will be getting the Mark 2 Unleashed and the Mark 5.
So kind of a completist but pretty close I guess.
It's just a practality and money issue really.
In an ideal world I would just keep them all but having three figures that look very similar on items so expensive is hard for me personally to justify.

Sounds good to me.
Just stick with what you have now and add the Mk.II UA and Mk.V when they become available.

I know what you mean about having three armors that look so similar. I'm a bit of a completist when it comes to the armors as I have the Mark III BD, Mark IV, Mark VI, and War Machine. That and I have the new Mark II and the Mark V on preorder. However I've been considering selling my Mark III BD because it looks so close to the Mark IV.

mark 6 looks closer to mark 4, than mark 3 to mark 4. Aside from the paint job, the only difference between 6 and 4 is the triangle on the chest.

I have to say that I was toying with the idea of selling the Mark III as well. Purely becuse it just doesn't looks as good these new ones and I do really like the Mark IV.

But lads!! Can you help me?

I got my Mark VI just now and everything is fine, armour fits etc. but the BD arm is missing that washer thing!! :gah:

What did others do about this?

I think for the purpose of helping every newcomer or every person who has just gotten hands on the Mark VI, all users who have had on-hand experience with whatever defects should somehow forward them to an active user in this thread so that he can create a single post in which it would contain the presumably long list of defects encountered with this figure and anyone with queries should be forwarded to this single post for the purpose of convenience and comprehensiveness instead of scouring each page and looking at the mess of defects scattered around and getting confused.

I for one have lost track of the long list of defects which some of the users have posted here so I thought this would help everyone in this thread. This way, for any new owners of the Mark VI can refer to this post if they have any doubts as to what potentially could be wrong with their Mark VI but unsure as to where to check them.

What do you guys think?

Have we not had this then?

I had the same issue. And I got it from a Hong Kong seller. Did you get it from SS? If you did, then it might be a QC issue with the BD arm.

All ya need is just one of them washer things. If you heat it up, it should go over peg easily enough.

So I don't want a replacement arm. I just want another red washer thingy!

Would you be happy with the gun metal being the only version you have of the Mark IV?
No way.

The Mk.IV is THE most iconic for me. I've been an Iron Man fan since I was a boy. That's why the Red/Gold armor with the circular chest reactor will always be one of my favorites (along with the Silver Centurion).

The Gunmetal is just a Hot Toys "revision", if you will, and really has nothing to do with either the comics or the movie.

Which is why I pose the Mk.IV with the RDJ headsculpt, with his helmet being held at his side, much like what an American football player does.

The Mk.VI is displayed in full battle damage with the helmet on, stabilizing spoilers on his back are open, and posed in-flight.

Anyone of us here can tell them apart, but to a non-fan, the two figures look different enough even when posed side-by-side.

I'm glad to see that the after-market prices on these have stabilized. Looks like they can be had for $250 or less on eBay. Even though they sold out before they came in stock everywhere, a big chunk of that was apparently people hoarding them up to off-load on eBay. But the market adjusts, and is doing so here. I have no doubt this will be worth something more down the road, but to go up so high in value right after it is released is silly.

My guess is that once those on ebay are sold, it will go up in price again.
Also with future movie releases of the Iron Man, people are going to want previous armors.
