Does putting the figure in a display case with a silicon gel packet help avoid/reduce the fading problem?
I think it's luck and production batch... all 7 of mine have been out with the same exposure and with varying fading .. will post compilation pic later.

Good because that's the next one i'm getting. :yess: I was going to get the MK III BD and VI, but you guys and this fading talk has really put me off. :(

I think WM is a better choice. No offense but to me the BD Mark III is one of HT's ugliest IM figures, especially if you decide to put it next to the Mk VI.

I'm skipping the MK III anyway and you never know they might do another one. :lol

I haven't had any fading issues with any of my Iron Man Hot Toys yet but I keep mine out of sunlight.

going back to the fading problem, it will fade eventually even if you keep them in dark, enclosed areas. it's the rubber material that eventually 'seeps' the color. as i've mentioned when this first came out, even those still in packaging have started to fade. we just have to live with the fact that it's meant to be, just smear it with a little gundam marker then you're good to go

Any other suggestions? I have my IV and VI boxed up, but with all these talks of fading, guess I'll open the boxes tonight have a dekko. Has anyone tried to paint their IM's under-wear yet? If yes, what kind of paint would stick to that shiny rubber?

I've read where some people have colored their fading undy's so you just have to read through the mark III BD thread and I'm sure you'll find it.

I saw this in a another thread and you can see fading on the MK III and that doesn't look like it gets sunlight. :(

BY the way how awesome does that setup look? :thud: :clap

that is a great setup and I couldn't speak on the first Mark III as I don't own it. It is several years older so I'm sure it is bound to happen.
