I hope so too...it's still a round piece but with a triangle core

Right and thats how it was in the movie.

how much would a perfect condition displayed mark 1 with all accessories be worth these days?
also how much would a mark 2 with damaged leg (problem that happened with a lot of them, but fixed it with super glue, just does not turn side to side, could be fixed with the right knowledge and tools) be worth with box etc?

I'd like to get my hands on a Mark 2!

I always thought to even call it a mark 2 was stupid, there was f all difference between it and the mark 3 ..it would have made more sense for the mech test to be the called the mark 2 as that really was the next leap in design after the mark 1 ...getting a new paintjob with antifreeze is not big enough a change for the suit to go up a whole mark.

..but for action figure sales i guess it makes sense..but not in the movie imo.

The boots and gloves was the next major leap in design over an entire suit?

I'm kind of confused here, are you sure you're not referring to to the naming of Mark II to Mark III? The new paintjob and icing problem resolution were what was present on the Mark III not the Mark II. Sounds to me like you're referring to the Mark III more.

The Mark II was a big difference compared to the I. The Mark III armor looks similar to the II but is constructed of Gold-Titanium and is supposed to have an upgraded power unit over the Mark II. I'll wait for Mike to chime in on all this but if I recall correctly the Mark II was made of steel and wasn't fitted with weaponry, serving mostly for flight.

I saw a photo somewhere, ...now to find it!!!

Found it!!....

The MK II was equipped with weapons , as we saw in Iron Man 2. Unless they were added later?

You could technically say that the Mark II had weapons since it was later fitted with what would make it War Machine.

Before that though, it should have only had the repulsors as a means of attacking. In the movie, Tony didn't realize he could use the repulsors as weapons until the moment before he decided to go to Gulmira.

Just repulsors on the MkII until it was outfitted by Hammer...and even then they were only considered "flight stabilizers"

As the previous post already mentioned, they weren't realized as weapons until Tony started shooting up his basement with it.

Let's hope we don't get drilled for this later :lol

For the most part I believe I'm correct. :lecture

Well, i guess that technically the MK II was just an extension of the Mech Test.
