According to the translation the regular figure shows shipping in May from HT and the one with the extra arm piece in Feb.

Where are you getting this from? The product page on Hot Toys' website still says "Release date: Q1-2, 2011".

Ah, I didn't realize they had another site. However, I checked their Japanese site and found, "2011年2月発売予定", posted under the price of the Mark VI, which my widget translator converts to "2011 February sale schedule". For whatever that's worth.

That doesn't make much sense. Maybe they just forgot to change it for the exclusive or something maybe a typographical error.

I was thinking, they are pretty close in appearance, that the announcement of releasing Mk.VI may steal sales away from Mk.IV.

Maybe release Mk.V first, let that prolong the hype generated from Mk.IV, then release the Mk.VI once there are no more Mk.IV's available at normal prices and certainly before the Avengers movie gets out. It's fun to guesstimate.
