Yeah because the Mk VI has the mini missiles that pop up from the shoulders so that area is different from the Mk IV.

The mkIV, if you have the neck seated all the way on the ball joint AND have the neck where it connects to the body posed all the way forward, it is very close to the body. Close enough that the neck couldn't be any shorter or the head would be inside the body.

No full sculpt with this figure ..you could get this figure and try and find the downey sculpt from the iv loose on ebay or from someone on here.
If sculpt approval is what once again is delaying this figure, I wish they'd just ditch the face-in-mask getup and give us the Mark IV head. I'm rather concerned the face is going to look proportionately tiny inside the helmet anyhow, seeing how the helmet appears to be too small for the body already.

Guys, this is a long thread and I know there must be an answer to my questions, but i am too lazy to go page by page to look for it. can anyone summarize it nicely for me, please.

So what is the difference between mark IV and MARK VI. so far, this is what i can find.

1) the base and accessories and battle damage for mark VI

2) the silver paint on biceps and knees for mark VI

3) no head sculpt for robert downey jr for mark vi

4) tiny missiles pop on shoulder for mark VI

WHAT ELSE???

and is it true that the thigh on mark VI wont be completely clean?? like there is blemish?

is it true that the mark VI has bigger body? beefier?

i really cant tell the difference. anybody is willing to share?

I need to know about this to make decision of which iron man should i buy.

He will have nicks and minor scratches no matter what. From what I've seen, Mk. IV also have these little scratches.

The body size is the same.

Buy Mk. VI.

Looking at the helmet on the clean Mark VI, I'm quite sure they've made the eyes thinner than the Mark IV, which is great.

Hopefully they've finally met in the middle with the eyes on the VI.

War Machine's had the black lines but they were too thick. The Mark IV has the black lines at the bottom but they eyes are still a bit large.

The VI looks to have a lower brow so hopefully the eye space is smaller but the black line remains to be the same thickness as on the IV.

Just from a design stand point I like the triangular reactor for a couple of reasons. For one, I really think the mkIV/VI suit was designed with that chest piece in mind. The armor has a lot of sharp edges and geometric forms that match the triangular shape better. Second, the triangular shape just works better as a chest emblem as it evokes the shape of the chest.

i completely agree...

The only reason they started with the round one is because of the origin story and the original comic iron man having a round arc. 9/10 Iron Man iterations have triangular or polygon-shaped arcs, not circular ones...

I wouldn't say 9/10 but probably 50/50ish. Maybe leaning a bit more towards the round if you take into account the full history. If you just look at the last 10 years or so it definitely does heavily favor the triangular.

Really both are equally valid imo.
