i think it will be an awesome figure to have and pose with the rest of the crew. If anything, with the head sculpt, they made it look like Renner but less ugly lol

Putting my heterosexuality aside for the moment, I think the color is more wine than maroon - ie more purple than red. Not sure that matters though.

I seriously doubt HT is going to reveal their P&L statement. Hell do you really think the iphone is sold for pennies above cost?
I won't be complaining if we see Hawkeye at $130 in 6 months, cause I'll def pick him up then. The market will fix itself. Always does.

Once HT sells a figure, it has no way of making more money off of it.

Still, there is something to this that smacks of the 90s comic market - too many speculators, a lot of variants, overproducing product... I'm not saying it will happen, but I won't be shocked if this market crashes in the next year or two.

No, but I was an avid collector (stopped about a decade ago), and I remember it being so bad that the comics that stood out on the shelves were the 3 or 4 that DIDN'T have the holo-foil 3D metallic cover (in 4 versions).

The left and the right shoulder pads are not identical. Look a bit weird.

It's not that noticeable.

It looks to me like the fabric portion (the purple and black part with the SHIELD emblem) is a separate entity from the rubber shoulder pads. One or the other is probably just shifted a bit to the side in the photo.
