honestly none of us know. We are all speculating. None of us work for Hot Toys so we are all just guessing what their methods, intentions and process is.

And even when HTs comes out and makes a statement saying they updated the sculpt some people don't believe it, a la the Avengers Thor headsculpt.

Ultimately, you're right. I just think I saw quite a few posts with people trying to other people as if they had everything to do with the update of his HS. Maybe. Maybe not.

You're right Morphy, we can only speculate. I would like to think that fan response has made a difference though, call me optimistic...

Huh? We know HT changed Thor's headsculpt... but are they also changing Hawkeye's?

I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or majority, but I do think his headsculpt is easily the weakest of all the Avengers figures now. It only looks like Renner with the sunglasses on imo.

I just wish there was a way fans can have a more direct line of communication with Hot Toys. Maybe something where we can all post our questions in a thread and have them upvoted somehow like Reddit. Then we'd submit our top 2-3 questions for HT to answer. I also wish they could just post pictures of their headsculpts in progress to get direct fan feedback. Maybe even a way where people can request certain characters/licenses by putting down a $50 deposit as a sure sign of interest?

Sigh... I'm imagining a world where HT even reads this post lol.

I think HT group simply scans the fb page and emails to get a general feel of fan reaction
they dont really read stuff

I'm firmly in the "I don't give a ____ why the changed it, so long as they made it better" camp.

I really like the Hawkeye head sculpt. I see Renner in it, I can't really say what is off? I think maybe it actually looks like a better looking or younger Renner. Which works for me as a super hero figure.

Just went to their Hot Toys page and commented on three different places about improving the sculpt.

That picture of Renner in his AVENGERS costume does not even look like Renner! No small amount of touching up has been done to it, I'm sure.

The sculpt for the figure looks more like the Renner in your sig
