What about the full BD Robocop? If indeed it is Weller's likeness for once.

But like A-Dev said, it looks like we're getting the shaft with the full BD and reveal sculpt. If the Weller likeness is spot on and there are some other inclusions that set it apart from the regular version, I can pretty much say right now that HT won my $$$. Right rotten fookers

I'm pretty happy with Robo's damaged helmet (really quite like the eye showing through the visor) and chest piece. At the moment, I'm thinking I don't really need a Peter Weller reveal Robo on display, but we all know what this hobby is like. Still, worst case scenario, this will only be a 3 figure license!

I'm kind of hoping that the reveal will be an easy pass so I could put the $300 towards a different license.

Yeah, that's the thing. Murphy reveal just seems to me unnecessary. No doubt it's iconic, but when I think of Robo, I think of him as he was introduced. Like you say, there is just so much competing for one's funds and only so much space available, so I'm really trying to weed out what isn't absolutely vital.

Judging by the prototype pics of the normal RoboCop the unannounced RoboCop figure is an InstaBuy for me.

RoboCop is my grail and I would sell of my army of Iron Men to own any HT RoboCop related figure.

What would be cool would be an unhelmeted DX Robo just with gun and a finale Clarence Boddicker with a steel rod and a base that Robo would fit in.
That would be epic!

Huh, I've just rediscovered that the original Hot Toys ED did actually have posable feet. It had been so long since I adjusted them that I forgot this articulation was even there. As a result I've just corrected what had been a terribly awkward front-heavy stance he was in which looked bizarre next to my new ED and the NECA version. Cool. Still needs his dome replaced but that correction has just done wonders for how I regard him in this post-MMS204 world.

It's funny that you mention that because I discovered how much articulation there is in the 2.0's ankles after I took those last pics. You can pull the whole foot down much more than I realized which exposes a lot more of the wiring details inside. I made a few little tweaks to my last poses and it's looking much better now

Amen to that! Down with Iron Man! Think of how many releases and licenses we would have gotten if Hot Toys didn't have such a hard on for Iron Man.

You mean like i.E. the Iron Patriot, where you can pull on the leg and extend the whole leg for more articulation?

Thats exactly the thing though! The sound feature and the ability to audibly communicate its intent was part of what actually made Ed cool at the time and still today! The sound feature DOES matter ALOT and the fact that it was bonered undermines everything this PRODUCT should have been! I would have bought this hands down 100% if the recordings were dead nutz movie accurate.
After all gentlemen, that is why we buy these "Hot Toys" to begin with. There is no doubt ED would be "more fun" if you could play the sounds proudly for friends without prefacing something nobody should have to explain to begin with!

I'm lovin' this piece on display. Having ED around sent me on a Robo-kick and I've been wearing out the trilogy Blu Ray. I missed the sweet deal that everyone else jumped on but I've been getting my money's worth

I just moved the feet just like on the old ED209.
Didn't know you can pull'em out.

I have him 5-6 feet away from me on a shelve, with a poster in the background and I can´t stop starin´ at this guy.
