Yeah, that's true. Don't mean to come off too blasé about getting such a great collectible, but there is something to what a-dev said in regards to being part of a thread and studying pictures for so long. That said, I can just see you doing that little fist pump and expect I'll be the same once I've got him set-up.

I was going to type the word blase myself last night but couldn't figure out how to put the accent thing on the 'e'.

Certainly its not a piece to take for granted despite what I've said. I'll no doubt try for some reposing later tonight.

It's not like a Vinny & Pauly D buck nutty-doin' it big on The Shore-fist pump. It's like a subtle, heart-felt one which is usually paired with a quiet "f__k yea"

I finally got some time to get him into a good pose and out of that "static activated" stance. I didn't even have too long of a go (like ½ hour) and I'm really impressed with this piece. I can’t wait until next week when I have time to sit down with this for an hour+ and dig into every detail. He doesn't have a ton of screen time and there are only so many poses that you can try replicate from the flick, but you can get this guy into some aggressive bad ass poses.

Saw this out on display at a LCS and I couldn't stop looking at it. It just so massive and detailed. It has HUGE shelf presence. I circled the store about 7 times to get a better look at it since I didn't want to just stand their ogling it. I spent that night contemplating if I should get it. $400 is alot of money so I was thinking was their any other Hot Toys I'd rather have in that upper price range. I thought about the Tumbler, 1989 Batmobile, Whiplash, Hulk and honestly I feel more excited about the ED209 than any of those.

I ended up ordering it in the middle of the night, which is a BIG thing for me since I thinned out my Hot Toys collection (from ~30 to 7) and vowed to only buy "must-have" figures from certain licenses and Robocop isn't one of them. It's just to cool to pass up! I haven't been this excited over a figure in ALONG time.

And the posability and articulation is absolutely outstanding considering weight and design.

Aaand by the way (dunno if it has been stated in the thread yet):
Even though made of plastic he has a HEFTY weight to him!
You even have the feeling of owning a geat figure just by the weight.
The old version was pretty light.

So congrats again.

Thanks! The largest Hot Toys figure I've had thus far was the Power Loader and I thought that box was gigantic. I can't imagine how much larger ED209 will be. Their is something really satisfying about getting a huge Hot Toys box.

Well, this box is a bit smaller than the box of the old ED209, a bit more thought out.
But the design is awesome!

This guy is being ridiculous. He complains about this not being diecast and not having a base. Why would a piece this large NEED diecast and their is no way Hot Toys would price it anywhere near $400 if it were. A base really isn't needed since its so large already, I think the remote/plaque is good enough. Plus, he has the arms on BACKWARDS

Just found out about this. Not much info about it but if its anything like Cain it should be fully articulated and around 14" tall, and ~$1300...

iwill never understand western cultural phenomenon of complaining about complaining. so widespread, so impossible to understand why somebody is bothered what another person says.
