This is VERY bad news that people are starting to see deteriorating domes so soon. Hot Toys knew about this issue with the 1st ED209 yet they still do this. This is a deal breaker for me, I'll be returning mine. Pity too since I really do like this piece...

Not only did they lose a sale from me on ED209, but also Robocop since I was planning to get him to go along with ED209.

maybe for the next ED209 hot toys will include cooling system and watering instructions :dunno

I don't think we will be seeing another 1/6 ed-209 from hot toys, at least not in this decade. I'm just going to cross my fingers that my dome will hold up, and just try to put it out of my mind. I'll definitely be buying a custom dome though from whoever produces a replacement. Anthrapoid is more than capable and seems motivated, but even if he can't do to his health issues (no pressure bro health before toys always:duff) I'm certain some one will produce a replacement dome with in the next year. I bet most people will do like me and you CollectorGuy, and buy the replacement dome even if their figures dome is perfect. If I'm right then someone could actually make some good money on this project assuming they could minimize their cost and labor, not to mention they would be a rock star to ed-209 owners.

Whatever happens just try to remind yourself that it really is just a toy. A ******ing sweet toy, but still just a toy.

Good recovery Anthrapoid :)
Interested by dome of course when yur ready :)

Spread the word guys.
im planning on opening a facebook page devoted to this problème and make some noise.

A toy it may be but a 400$ toy as well.

No doubt. I just meant it's not worth getting so bent out of shape that we constantly check our domes paranoid that our worst fears have come true (I'm sure most of us will anyway including myself). All the veterans here already know that no matter how much we raise awareness and complain hot toys will do nothing. I'm not saying we should just roll over and take it, just that either way yields the same results.

I was planning on getting this, but when there is a problem with the dome cracking (already) and it costs 400$....
ED-209 was/is the only reason i am willing to buy Robocop in 1/6 scale. I am basically an 1/4 collector.
