Will the ED-209 fit in the Detolf ?

It can fit in your standard detolf if you completely retract the legs to their lowest height and keep the pose neutral. If you want to have his legs extended at all or a dynamic pose you'll need to adjust the shelf height, but not as extremely as you would for a 1/4 figure or the HT hulk figure. Here are some pics of mine. Given the rubber dome dilemma, your really going to want to keep ed in a case at all times.

Krytox (perfluoropolyether) is the answer if you're concerned and haven't already contaminated/damaged ED with Mod Podge, silicone grease or 303.

Krytox GPL105 is expensive, but it will not react in any negative way with plastics or natural and synthetic elastomers.

A tiny amount is all ED will ever need in your lifetime.

Look no further if you are serious about long term preservation.

No other product comes close to the performance charachteristics that the Krytox range offers.

Mod podge can be removed with simple water so i guess everyone is ok , no need to start stressing people mate ;)
Did you used that krytox lubricant on yours? Wich tube exactly one should get?
Thanks for your help to the community :)

Fantastic setup! I also like how you posed ED to fit in the Detolf.

Thanks a lot for the kind words. I'm trying to leave enough room for robocop to be displayed on the right next to Ed with Ed's guns pointed at him. I'm hoping it won't look to crowded once I put robocop in, I can't stand over crowded shelves. I had to put the crow and scarface in the shelf below ed because they are the only two figures short enough to fit there now. I need to tweek my display some more, but I'm hoping to have it ideal by January. I really really love the way it's coming along though.

Hey there!!!
Very nice looking collection (really well displayed and very balanced)

I was wondering how you raised your shelf to properly fit your ED 209???

your set up looks amazing !! Thanks for the info !!

Received my ED-209 from a german retailer two weeks ago - no problems so far. I have already put on some rubber care in advance to avoid cracks or detoration. I will put on a second layer in a few weeks. Now i have to wait and ...

Greetings from across the country, I guess, man.
:wave

Is that good stuff?
I read mod podge is great, but this rubber care sounds good too.
You got experience with it?

yours has the same wrinkle in the front as mine
good news for me, i guess

Thx, bro.
Good luck for yours too.

That is not necessarily true. There might be many harsh compounds in something meant for vulcanized rubber products as opposed to thin untreated poor quality rubber products.
