Well after 6 months, my waitlist has finally converted. I was thinking it was never gonna happen and was ready to purchase the regular locally as it would end up being a fair bit cheaper anyway. However I really wanted this exclusive version, so I'll suck it up and pay the extra.
That is it for me for awhile though. I have the Rocket and Groot pack on Flexpay with just one more payment to come before shipping. I'll pick up Gamora at some time down the line. As there's no ex, I'm not really in a hurry right now.

Interesting reading. I have this on order and new to the hot toys collector scene. Can someone clear up what I should expect to pay extra for customs on delivery to the UK please? I'm not getting the shipping costs at the mo so any advice/guidance would be appreciated

about £35 extra I think I'm not sure about the exchange rate right now and a little more for fees. Sideshow gives a estimate(which seems accurate based on charges I got) on the order page

Yes to Canada too...the only bright side is it is through Fed Ex, so they usually arrive within 2 days.

2 business days and they always seem to ship on Thursday or Friday. If it's Thursday sometimes it comes on Monday.

Exactly! That is why I don't complain anymore about shipping prices going up. It still isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things.

Yep!

We get our figures about a month after they drop. But we live on the other side of the world! Canadians, Mexicans, South Americans have to deal with extra fees, red tape and whatnot. Europeans? Forget about it! Fee on top of fee on top of fee. And Australians can't even buy certain figures!
