On some of the front official pics I see a light silver on the lower lip and on other pics I see the darker lip. :dunno

All in the lighting.
Hmm, well maybe that's not it at all. Maybe the face is just too round, and not long enough? Makes him look like a robot Stewie.

to those who've seen the movie...(spoiler)

Could you guys explain something to me? I'm not really well versed on IM mytho but how was Rhodey able to take the IM suit. I thought what makes it one of a kind and only Tony Stark can use it is because it runs on the core reactor? I thought that was the reason why he couldnt turn it over to the government, cause the reactor is attached to him therefore, no reactor, no Iron man?

So you dont need the reactor to use the IM suit?

For some reason all the suits in Stark's lab each had their own individual arch reactor.

This actually fairly simple. The premise of the story is that Tony is actively looking for a new Arc, trying to lower the reaction and blood poisoning of the Palladium core. He didn't have Palladium in the caves so the original Arc functions without it. Remember with Arc 1 he can only power the suit for an average of 15 minutes. With Arc 2 he is able to fly around, fight Iron Monger but his suit is still getting depleted. By Iron Man 2 he is flying around the world and settling into world peace but still trying to replace the palladium so it doesn't say but you are supposed to infer that there are multiple Arcs. If you look at the table where he puts in the new core there are parts and pieces of other arcs on the table. He simply has placed them into the suits but they are unusable without the Palladium inserts into the back. They light up but they don't power anything because before he put the new core into the new arc it was glowing. When Rhodey suits up he already knew that the Palladium cores were in the cigar box on his desk so it wouldn't be too difficult for him to grab one and slide it into the center of the arc already in the chest to power it. He wouldn't be worried about the poisoning because it isn't actually in his body like Tony.

As for the "squat" face its because the War Machine helmet has a jutted chin that comes up over the lower faceplate unlike Iron Man's. With the head aimed downwards it from perspective makes the face look shorter and more babylike. Its positioning.

Dunno if this has been mentioned before but I would really like War Machine to include a Rhodey Mark 2 open faceplate head. I really loved the fight scene between the Mark IV and Mark II.

I kinda doubt that that'd happen tbh.

you could always customize the mark 2 tony head with the rhodey WM head.:dunno

They didn't fight with the faceplates up so you don't really need a Mark II Rhodey head. Just pose the Mark II with the Mark IV :)

I like the detailing on the figure in that pic. I didn't notice it so much before, but there's some nice metal texture/scraping going on there.
It does, but it's far too subtle IMO. Like you said, you're just noticing it now for the first time. The detailing and texture on the suit in the movie (as seen in the promo pic above) is very heavy.

With this not being pristine, I am hoping they dont make another version and calling it battle damaged again

If you look at the specific Battle Damage in the film its a no brainer that another is on the horizon. I wouldn't be shocked if we didn't get a BD Mark VI and Mark V by the time the dust settles on IM2.

But the first reactor he built did have a Palladium core. That's why they took the missiles apart.

Oh that's right. D'oh. Guess I'd better watch Iron Man 1 over again. Now I don't remember the reasoning specific for Arc v2.....either way the basis is that he made a bunch of Arcs and put them into the Marks as well as having them out and about. Rhodey knew where the palladium was so he could have powered the suit without too much of a hassle.

I guess there are just some things in movies that you have to stop analyzing and to accept and enjoy. I mean how did Rhodey even get into and out of the suit??

Well they showed the bots suiting him up, the real question is how did he take the Mark II from the wallmount, disassemble it to get it into the bot parts, since they work like an assembly line doing one part and piece at a time, to then suit up and get upstairs in a matter of minutes.

thats what i thought, ok good so i didn't imagine that then :lol

it was something like he needed 1.6 grams but one missle only contained 1.5 so they had to take apart 2 of them right?

When I built my Arc reactor from stolen Russian Nukes....I only needed 1.2 grams...but that's just me.

Mine runs on the sweat of women but only the kind that contains the pheromones set off during a round of hot intense sex, its a tough and tiring job but to save the world I'm willing to take a few for the team.
