Wonder if they are making an overabundance of these or if it's a really slow seller.

I don't envy the Hot Toys staffers who have to call the production numbers in advance, on some of these figures.. imho, some of the armor variants are going to be fairly difficult to accurately predict demand for.

I'm sure it'll sell out, I preordered mine from a retailer though so I guess it's not as popular as Python (but the SDCC figure is the more impressive really)..., I'm thinking there must have been less of a production run on Python compared to Midas from last year as retailers got that ok & it doesn't appear many got a look in this year for the SDCC exclusive.

Yup.. the hype surrounding Midas last year, made me think twice about Python, when it was first announced.. but I really liked the black and gold look, so I bought it.. and I think Peacemaker is going to look really good, displayed next to Igor, so I'm in for this armor, as well (it helps that I did not go for Red Snapper).

It'll be challenging for HT to market and sell every one of the HPP armors (even the most ardent collectors of a line tire at some point), but the one thing HT has going in its favor is that so many of these are reused parts and repaints.

It isn't the same as creating and developing new licenses and figures from the ground up, which is time-consuming and expensive.

All HT has to do is sit back and wait and possibly tweak its production numbers in the future. At some point, many holdouts will start to panic or worry that a figure could get pricey in the future and they'll pull out their wallets.

I wonder why they've decided to make another mark 3 plus the diorama (of the mark 3) & 2 mark 42's before making other house party suits???

I should've just ordered Python but as I have 6 Iron Man figures plus 7 more on preorder I got that 'do I really need anymore?' feeling..., unfortunately the YES I DO thought came too late but that's life, hopefully I'll get it later on at some point..., got to pay for Igor really now. :)

They really have only made doubles of the first couple of armors. The mark 42 got a PPS because it was fresh at the time. I wouldn't expect Hot Toys to do any doubles from Iron Man 3.
I'm not sure die hard collectors will get tired of the armors. Remembering that hot toys biggest market is Asia and there is a lot of money there compared to most of the world.

I'd like it if they were to make the earlier figures again but if they don't I'll just content myself with buying anything new that comes along & The Hulk Buster will probably be the best of the future figures plus there will be suit 43 at least to look forward to. :)

Love the paint scheme, but this armor is not at the top of my wants list atm. Give me Gemini, HB & Iggy first :monkey4

I really love this Armor but cancelled due to my laptop has broken down and I rather put the money towards that and the new T-800 coming out around the same time as this. If still in stock i'll definitely pick him up down the road.
