How much is this going for now?

Two recently sold this month in October on the bay.

One on 10/8/13 for $1,200.00 and one on 10/21/13 at a Best Offer Accepted with an original price of $1,599.99. Dang, these are expensive!!!

I picked up one earlier this year from these boards for $350. It was just missing two open hands and the box is a little battered. But I was super stoked to add it to my Iron Man collection

Can't believe those prices this figure went for on ebay. Going to hold on too mine. Really like the figure still.

@kaidoy021 - Great score and congrats!

Would this be considered the most expensive iron man armor to get? Or is there another one more expensive

Depends,
Some collectors really want this in their collection and would pay over 1.5k for it....just to complete their desired iron man needs.

Some collectors have no value for this and don't care about it because it has nothing to do with the iron man franchise or the history of it.

but if you're totally talking about price wise, yes this would be the most expensive followed by the Avengers Mark VI

Finally got him at a decent price again, can't wait to go along with the Midas and Avengers mark VI with this :D

This is one of the last figures I need to compete my iron man set, besides iron monger and avengers mark vi, I agree the ridiculous price for this is insane, just gotta be patient and hope one day I can find a decent price on this guy

I have occasionally seen these at sensible prices but generally only because the figure had some small defect.. if that doesn't bother you, then you should be able to track one down for a less wallet crushing price.

Hi all! Noob question here - for this Gunmetal Exclusive IM, how did the rubber midriff and panties hold up for you guys?

Any reports on rubber deterioration or color fading, as per the regular release?

Woot! That's music to my ears!! :yess:

Yup, that is the reason I don't generally buy the 'red' figures.. however it's not just HT's figures.. check out older cars with red paint, most will have faded to a greater or lesser extent.. unless very carefully maintained.

not specific to this thread, but does that mean that Secret Project IM MK IV as well as Midas IM will not be so prone to color fading as well?

Hopefully yes, I tend to try to avoid collectibles with a lot of base white (as opposed to painted) or red plastic because of discoloration over time.. however given enough time other colors may be subject to fading (I'm talking decades).. there are some interesting discussions on some of the forums dedicated to original Star Wars collectibles, concerning color fading and the best ways to store toys, long term.

Does anyone know what the current value for this would be for insurance purposes? I have one and I wanna make sure that I have the proper amount of insurance for my collection.

The last three I saw actually sell went between 700-1000. So that's the replacment cost and what I'd insure it for. FYI, if u are ever looking to move it let me know. Lol
