just break the clips off and attach them to the cowl. much more screen accurate result

How is it screen acurate to have them attached the the cowl? When he removes the cowl in the movie, the cape stays attached to the suit. It wouldn't do that if it was attached to the cowl.

I'm not certain, but I think there's movie magic. I think when he's suited, the clips run off the cowl, but because there'd be nothing to hold the cape on, they're still on the suit when he takes the cowl off. I haven't watched Begins in awhile but I think this happens.

I'm watching it as we speak ................... and its 8:45 a.m. too

You never see the cowl off with the cape on from the front. The only time he does it is after he sedates rachel and its from the back, which i think was also an excuse for nolan not to do a Batman Returns and have bale pull off the cowl and have his black eye makeup magically dissapear.

For the actual suit im pretty sure the clips are just part of the cowl and the capes attached in some other fashion under it, and they dont actually serve that purpose, but they may. Some shots at least show the cape draping as if they attach there, but i don thtink they are the sole means.

I always did feel of the entire suit the clips were the most odd, you could completely eliminate them and it'd look fine, they seemed unessecary and out of place on the otherwise smooth suit design.

I was under the impression that the cape is attached inside of the suit collar, much like superman's. and the two clips were to attach the cowl onto the suit.

I will ask someone for confirmation on this.

Mystery solved, their location looks to imply function as HT uses them, and the cowl bottom just happens to fall under them appearing like it's attached unless you can see close and scrutinize.

it was so damn hard to put the gauntlet on to his arm <.< still need another gauntlet, but during the waiting time, i can just hide his arm under the cape :D

Ohhhhh Thrustmaster you were the guy who posted in progress pics a few days ago with no gauntlets or boots, right? Looks like you got a lot of parts in a few days time.

Yeah, I'm the guy who is collecting the parts to built the whole batman :p
And yes, I've got the boots, belt and the pegs for his hands. But still no gauntlets. It's just the advanced gauntlet on his arm.

@ YellowJoshua: I've bought a normal HT TT body, but it seems, that the original body from the Batman OC figure is a bit slimmer, especially his arms where the gauntlets are. I had to slim his arm a bit to bring this gauntlet on him. And I have the DK hands on him, because I still don't have some OC hands. It's just a temporary solution...

Still searching for 2 gauntlets and 2 hands (fists minimum) but I need patience, they seem to be really rare. :sick

Nice build man :D I did the same with the 2nd Harvey Dent figure, VERY frustrating waiting and trying to get all the parts seperately. Is it working out cheaper?

Thanks :)
yeah, it's really frustrating. it cost me so much time, till my Batman could stand on his own feets :D

And yes, at the moment it's cheaper than buying the whole figure through ebay. I'm now at ~150$ but still need some accessoires, especially the gauntlets and some hands <.<

But still not cheaper as if I had it on preorder... but I missed that. that was a big mistake :sick

oh ok, yeah if you missed the preorder or buy it now even, it would be cheaper than its current retail, if you can even find it that is. my Dent was cheaper, nearly 100 bucks of my money, but it was more shipping price that was the killer. Price was about the same, but if i had bought the figure, 50 US or some crap shipping, with the poor exchange rate was near 100 dollars, plus the price of the figure. Rather than the 4 dollars shipping for little bits of clothes etc, and 12 for another body.

Wow, this was the first HT figure I ever got back when it was released and I'm shocked to see it's going for up to $350 on ebay already.:horror

Is this normal for a HT release? I've read about some of the early Predator figures going for $500 on ebay but I figured it would take the Dark Knight ones a few years.

This one was never officialy exported out of Asia and I suspect much less were made than the other DK figures, so that's why it fetches so much.

Not true, Toys2 is an official HT distributor and sold this figure. It was more limited than the other figures, but it wasn't a pure Asian exclusive either.

I'm really curious how many were made compared to TDK fig. I've no idea how many of these figs are running. I wonder how long until TDK fig sells out.
