Not true, Toys2 is an official HT distributor and sold this figure. It was more limited than the other figures, but it wasn't a pure Asian exclusive either.

Oh! I didn't know that Toys2 deals with Hot Toys directly. Does BBTS deal with them directly too? They had this figure up for order.

I don't know, but I have heard Toys2 and SSC are HT direct distributors for North America, Toys2 gets all the TDK because Sideshow can't do DC stuff.

For DC, DCD is also looking to be an official HT distributor, but just DC products.

you guys are lucky you officially have some importers, we have NONE. we're forced to buy from overseas. I actually got my original suit batman from a shop here in Victoria, but they had just bought a few individually and were re selling them off for good prices (compared to the joker stuff) but other from that, we HAVE to look overseas to purchase

Yeah I totally understand where you're coming from Blakus!

I'm from Malaysia and I used to get all my Hot Toys stuff from XL-shop which receives the shipments direct from Hot Toys as soon as they're released. But I just moved to Sydney about a month or so ago to further my education and I have yet to see any shops that sell collectibles!

Do you know any shops in Sydney that sells collectibles? It doesn't necessarily have to be stuff from Hot Toys. Say stuff from Sideshow for instance?

There used to be a couple of comic/collectable shops on (I think) Goulburn Street down near Chinatown, but that was years ago - last time I walked past where I thought they were I didn't see them. If you find any, let me know!

Will do!

Hopefully I find a shop that sells collectibles here soon. I'm surprised that it isn't such a big thing over here in Sydney. Dammit, I can't really fully indulge in my collecting hobby over here since all my figures are back home. It's agonizing =(

unfortunately, havnt found any man, plenty of toy shops, not many with the high end hot toys collectibles. nor even Sideshow stuff, but i cant 'really' say on that matter, as i am strictly a hot toys collector and new to 1/6th anyway.

what is the best way to take off the cape pegs?? I know they break off which is fine because I have to glue them to the cowl anyways so should I take off the head and then carefully pull them off or is there an easier way?

How do i contact the guys for custom capes ? Cheers Steve UK.
ps are there many things you can do to make the original suit look and perform better.

This whole post confuses me. You already done yours. I couldn't get them off any other easy way without taking the head off. Even then they still wouldn't budge. They were really wedged in. I just couldn't get any solid grip on them without snapping there but I can easily fix them if need be. As you said as well. The thing is why would one ever want to go back to the original look. It's like buying a car with air conditioning going the customized route.

The guy before your post. lforigno, but I doubt he has any material left?...

Which would then leave you to private message buddylee only. https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/member.php?u=2946

Don't get me wrong, buddylee's capes are stellar for softness and realism but I felt they were just too thin. Somewhat see through even.

I personally prefer lforigno's capes. Good thickness, not suffering see through and drapes lovely as well. Looks better overall on the shoulders. Buudylee's was like women's lingerie too thin like silk and shiny to some degree.

that post was from a while ago I was actually working on my second original costume batman and wanted to see if there was a better technique. Also thanks for the nod on the cape but I dont have anymore material. I can get some but wont do it unless I get 10 people to commit.

So I just picked up this figure for 250 shipped. A pretty handsome price for a 12" figure, that's for sure. Anyway, out of curiosity I took a look on eBay to see what he's sold for recently and was pretty shocked to see these ending prices: 306, 315, 305, 229, 302, 439, 255, 449, 350, 305... This piece has really went up in value! 449? Holy crap!

Where did you pick it up from? I have been looking for this figure for quite some time now.

Ebay. Mine was the 255, but I had a few bucks from the eBay reward points so that took it down to 250 after shipping. Here's some pics:

Yeah, but yours is missing a batarang :monkey5

Haha, no worries - given how rare this figure is, and how high some of the prices have been recently, I'd settle for a missing batarang if it made it possible to get one at the lower end of the recent price spectrum.
