Time to, SELL, SELL, SELL.

Wonder if I could get a thousand for mine when TDKR gets a little closer.

I checked under the belt on mine and the suit looks kind of chaffed. Theres shiny areas but its not moisture from what I can tell.

*smacks a-dev for ruining the moment*

Ok Freaks help me out , i just recently got the OC Bats , i already cut out a velvet cape but my question is.......

Do the triangle cape tabs come off the factory cape? are they easy to take off , i don't wanna ruin the original cape ,

Any help will be highly appreciated . MIKE

You have to quite literally break them off unfortunately and then reattach them to the cowl once the new cape is in place

WRONG!

It really depends on the batch. They are somethimes glued to the suit, sometimes not. Its tricky to get them out though. Dont do it now, I will make some pics for you as reference tomorow. :hi5:

Hmm, well mine were glued pretty firmly in so I had to break them off - but no harm done really, i'll be replacing the head with Adam's anyway which will come with its own clips so its all good

The outside triangles are not generally glued to the suit, they are pegged to a disc inside the suit which is glued on the inside most times.

Mine did the same as agons, one broke one popped out of the disc. I think there was a possibility that HT considered making the cape removable, since it was clearly not as permanently attached as it could have been, but still it's not something you do lightly.

Personally i'm all for replacing the cape but its only if your intending to keep this figure and don't care about resale value or any of that stuff, because to make it correct you will need to put the clasps onto the cowl, you could (assuming you get them out with their pegs) presumably just put them back with a new cape but they would still look incorrect and part of the replacing the cape is to correct the placement of the cape clasps.

Hey guys...i've taken the top half of my OC Bats and removed it from the bottom half, peeling off the suit from the crotch area. What type of glue do I use to put it back together? I dont want the suit to errode because of the glue !!! Also is there anything that I can apply to suit to bring back a bit of the shine so it looks less worn out and more new ?

EDIT: I know it sounds a bit absurd but would something like ArmorAll do the trick ? You can get ones that shine the rubber but dont give it that greasy look.

Do NOT use Armorall. I'm not fimiliar with it myself, but I'm sure some other boardies will chime in soon why it's a BAD idea. It detroys rubber after a while apparently.

you can use what they actually used on the real suits dating back to the burton batman films. aerospace 303 protectant, it works great

Really ? Have you used it before? Okay the rubber shine thing isnt too important than gluing the suit back on...that needs to be done so anyone got any suggestions ? Any actual brand names or products ?

I haven't checked mine, I usually pose and then don't touch the figure again but even if it leaks I'm happy in knowing that HT will just make another one soon enough.
