Agreed, would love a penguin too! So hope these happen, as they have released 89 Batman and Joker I'm assuming we will only see two from the Returns licence. If that's the case, Catwoman gets my vote!

Elvis's custom Penguin is mind blowing, tbh I doubt HT could do any better!

Given the announcement of the license showed all 3 characters (Batman, Penguin & Catwoman) Hot Toys will be doing all 3

That was just the films poster though, by that logic the X-Men First Class announcement means they be doing around 7 or so from the announcement pic

Of course it doesn't

Not unless the announcement picture of X-Men showed 7 odd characters. There's plenty of Batman Returns movie posters they could of used but they used the one with all 3 characters on it. It would be stupid to suggest Hot Toys won't make all 3 of them.

I agree they'll do all three, they are the main of the film and this is Batman so of course they will, but the announcement picture doesn't indicate which figures are sure to come

This was their announcement for '89 Batman. They went out of their way to include Batman and the Joker.

I think they purposely used the Batman Returns poster that had all three characters because they're making all three. If that wasn't the case, they could have just used these,

Everybody breathe, was just my assumption Also seeing as Devito is short and fat I figured HT would want to steer clear as they won't be able to use one of their bog standard bodies.

Saying that they have done Sully and shortly the Hulk, so they've done bigger, now it's time for shorter!

Right now I don't expect ANY of them.


As for the Batman Returns line, I bet Batman ends up being the best Batman figure to date. Penguin should be pretty unique and innovative but I'm not sure about Catwoman. None of Hot Toys' female figures have impressed me much. I think Catwoman could potentially get botched. I hope she's nothing like Silk Spectre.

As for the Batman Returns line, I bet Batman ends up being the best Batman figure to date. Penguin should be pretty unique and innovative but I'm not sure about Catwoman. None of Hot Toys' female figures have impressed me much. I think Catwoman could potentially get botched. I hope she's nothing like Silk Spectre.

Having her head masked will help greatly for the sculpt, for the suit, i think the Jill Valentine route would be best.

For Batman, i'm hoping for a DX with mouthplates, gadgets and a windglider-type hard cape that can attatch for that gliding scene. A Bruce Wayne head in ripped Cowl would be cool, but i'd never use it so i'd rather the price not get jacked up for that.

Plus the tech they use for that gliding cale could also be used for Arkham City.

Ras Al Ghul is one of my most wanted Batman figures but I don't think we'll ever see him.

My biggest nightmare is if Hot Toys decided to troll fans and made a fake Wannabe "Ras" instead of the real Ras.

That would piss me off.

The Scarecrow/Demon set was totally out of the blue afterall

TDKR should be a good reason to revisit Begins and make a Ras Al Ghul.

I just don't want them doing some lame crap like a young flashback Ras or a fake Wannabe Ras Al Ghul.

All I want is Neeson Ras as he appeared in Batman Begins with his LOS armor and/or the final Narrows outfit with the gas mask. That's all I want. I have some display options in mind.
