Wish HT would have went with sculpted hair and gave her something other than a blank stare...I still don't have a Widow in my collection for the same reasons. IMO, Cap needs a shield and Widow needs red hair.

CW is the best widow. Pick that one up if you want a "definitive" widow to your collection.

Yes, it will be hard to top the CW Widow. She's still in my top 3 favorite female Hot Toys. My only complaint with her is the limited articulation from the suit, which the IW version looks to also suffer from.

There are times I still wonder how much different the role would have been had Emily Blunt not dropped out to do “Gulliver’s Travels”. Would Widow be just as popular? Would Blunt be red hot instead of ScarJo? Would ScarJo be the new Mary Poppins instead of Blunt?

Probably. Maybe. Nope.

I don't think we're the majority, but I'm one of those who still wishes Emily Blunt was able to take the Black Widow role (another reason to hate on Fox). Scarlett's done some good work in the role (including her natural chemistry with Chris Evans), but I never quite connected with her take on the character. At the same time, Emily being Black Widow means we probably never get her Rita Vrataski, who I absolutely loved, so maybe I'm okay with how things turned out in the end...

If HT was able to keep that curl on the left, almost right next to her right eye (our left), that would have gone a long way to say the hairstyle is accurate...

Yes, but:
A) It would have been more expensive and people (like me) would still complain regardless...
B) HT is inherently lazy...

i think HT could have problems with the massive numbers of movie charas in all the new MARVEL productions (THOR , Black Panther, IW , Deadpool, Ant-Man ) plus DC / Star Wars SOLO and what not ... maybe that's why ;-)

By lazy, I am referring to the decisions made by HT in order to either save cost or keep up with release schedules. If you look at DC Mark IV, The HS is from the Arc Reactor Tony set. For Mark L, it is the same HS as MK XLVI & XLVII. Now this Widow has basically the same HS as CW, and coincidentally their best effort for a ScarJo HS, but could they have come up with a better HS? Absolutely! Could they have come up with a better body than the same one from the Avengers? You betcha! But will they do it? They can, but they won’t. That’s what I refer to as lazy.

Well this figure was obviously fast tracked, if its actually gonna release on the 20th now. So their main focus was 'what can we reuse? What do we have to fabricate?' It looks like they used the basic suit from Civil War with minimal modifications like the shoulder pads, the holsters and the backpack. After that, the only new molded parts are the weapons and hands.

This is the downside to releasing a product at the same time with a film cause theres no chance for adjustment at all. They're not thinking about What was the fans reaction, how can we improve, what can we add. This was in the box before the pictures ever went up.

When I zoom in it looks like there ARE 2 tone on tone blonde shades or fibers re the hair. If u really want dark roots u can probably just brush in some eye shadow or hair powder. But even that can stain so I would be sure. Me love it platinum blonde and cherry lips. She'll be great on the shelf with Cap and Bucky. Too bad if they use same catsuit material tho I'd like to get her in a real deep stance for display.
