I like how they have her the classic fantasy Novel art style (like Louis royo)

I wonder if they'll add Starts to skirt (tarp?) in future movies

Actually, the New 52 is going away and DC's Rebirth is launching this Summer. And the new Wonder Woman costume in the comics looks a lot like the BvS movie one:

yeah i've seen it, its a beautiful costume.

Total speculation on my part, but I suspect that this is a placeholder body while they are working on the actual body. This is a completely new body after all, and Gamora wasn't. I bet they just wanted to get the figure announced while the hype for the movie was still going on, so they used this body (which looks more like a statue than a figure) while they continued development of the actual body. Too soon to tell at this point, but I'm sure they know they'll have a lot of cancellations if they indeed release a figure with immovable shoulders.

I hope that is true because Budget Stark's video does concern me.

There's no way they'll release a figure with no shoulder articulation.

Agree with this. I think this is similar to the possible recycled MoS sculpt freak out a couple of weeks ago with the BvS Supes figure. I really don't feel HT would release a figure that has zero shoulder mobility.

its an action figure, obviously its going to have shoulder movement.

If it was, they would have announced that sort of thing before it went up for order.

Still, only 17 points of articulation, that's not a lot. And the HS is so/so. I REALLY hope they improve on this figure

I actually think the sculpt is pretty good. Not dead on, but it captures her look very well as WW. Last time I saw the film, I kept the sculpt in mind and during the parts where it showed her as WW (the black and white 1918 photo Bruce Wayne was looking at and the end battle), I couldn't help but think how accurate the sculpt actually is, in my opinion.

If you compare it to actual photos of Gadot in general, it looks nothing like her, she has more of an exotic look; however, her face for some reason actually changes drastically when she's WW.

Her FACE changes when she's wonder woman?

Not literally of course, but she seems to take on an entirely different look when WW. When comparing the sculpt to her in general, even as civilian Diana Prince, it doesn't look much like her. However, I feel it's relatively accurate to her look as WW. Not dead on, but it doesn't necessarily miss the mark either, in my opinion.

I think this is best female face HT has done ? Very nice :)

I think Scarlet Witch's looks better (especially how they've painted it for their new versions) and Black Widow has a great new one too for Civil War.

I'd put those two above this one... Hopefully she'll look better once released or when they announce a Solo film figure.
