I hope both HT and SSC release some more iconic characters before EP VII kicks in otherwise they'll get pushed aside as Ep VII will be the 'hot ticket item'.

That is correct. Hasbro has EXCLUSIVE rights to Star wars toys. Anyone wanting to make anything as got to go through them.

So HT getting the rights to make something hinges on them getting the liscense AWAY from medicom.

which they're working on, as they've become the official asian importer for hasbro productsa while back.

I'd **LOVE** an older Jedi Master Luke - that would be absolutely killer.

Even if the new trilogy bombs, there'll still be some good in there no doubt; characters, designs, ships etc.

I think of the 'big three' though, an older Luke would be the best candidate for a 1/6 figure.

Absolutely, seeing he will be the 'new' Old Ben. I'd be up for that.

As for old Han and Leia, I know it's too early to call but it's just not the same thing.

That's the thing; by the nature of the Luke character, he's got longevity no matter his age. The other two - while important enough, aren't the same in that way.. well I guess Leia too yes, to a slightly lesser extent though.

If I was going to set up a 'New Trilogy' Detolf lol), I'd definitely have Master Luke & perhaps one or two other figures that define the series for me - plus a key vehicle.

So - Anakin.

HT really have a great opportunity with Anakin though, to fully deck the set out. Two PERS heads, two outfits (pre / post Mustafar duel), lava miner platform as a DX base, different arm / glove attachments - basically a mirror of the Luke set essentially.

It could be awesome.
