Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

I thought the same thing this morning. Then I saw it was Hot Toys that posted it on FB, I was like OMFG!! :horror :horror :horror

I thought it was a custom too lol. I think it fooled everyone. :rotfl

Re: Hot Toys - DX - T2: T-800 (Battle-Damaged Version) 1/6-scale Collectible Figure

Just about caught up on the thread. May have skimmed it though.

Seems this release resurrected the DX10 negativity. Way I see it is HT had not done a Cyberdyne version - we had with our COOmodels stuff - but HT hadn't. And the requirements of a Cyberdyne figure are different and too extensive to combine with the BD T-800. Perhaps they could have been combined with MMS117 and MMS117 should have been a DX - but then was DX even around back then?
Plus I think HT may have realised that battledamage put into the MMS117 sculpt was not going to look right (customs proved this IMO). So they needed a new clean base sculpt (I think I saw someone else make this point). And they have that with DX10.

I don't hold anything against HT here. Of course I'm a little biased considering I'll take anything and everything from Terminator.

I dont think it was, or it was JUST hitting with DX01 and Dx02 shortly behind.

I always new the T-800 would hit the DX series eventually. And Im so happy with the results. Expectations Met. :lecture

When I got on the forum today and was on the index page I clicked on what I assumed was just the DX10 thread. Then I see what looks a lot like the first page of the DX10 thread and I wonder 'what happened there, shouldn't I have been taken to the latest unread post?'

Then I noticed something different!

WTF!!!!

One can hope they do a 1984 T-800 DX! They are doing the 1/4 but they haven't shown anything since the teaser when the Endo was teased.

Afraid to say I now have zero interest in Enterbay's BD version now

Sorry Bill

Other than the 1/4 Endoskeleton/ 1984 T-800, I never plan into getting into 1/4 outside of those two. I think EB is doing amazing work, but I won't buy from them.

Two at least seems a necessity. Ultimately I'd aim to have 3-4. :monkey2

Dammit I didn't think this would be out next year. I was beginning to think HT for some reason weren't allowed make BD T-800s

That would be the only other Terminator that I would need for my collection. Id then have all the essential T-800's IMO.

Anyone planning on recreating the Steel Mill for dioramas? I think creating a chain for the BD to hang from would be awesome!

I'm probably going to flip some stuff so I can get two DX10s' so I can have the beginning of the film look too. :yess:

Any chance of a T 1000 DX? Or should I try for the original?

The Original T-1000 is a nice buy ( 2nd set of clothing extra liquid metal arm),,, personally i dont see HT coming out with a DX of it.

It's what I assume as well, if I get some extra cash I will snag it. It isn't TOO inflated to buy at this point.
