Imagine what next year will be like if NECA get Weaver to play ball.

NECA might make her if indeed they've somehow gotten her to sign off on her likeness but I decided not to take the chance on missing this custom 1:6 figure. With HT lately you're blessed to get anything that isn't a superhero so even if Weaver suddenly has softened her stance on toys based on her it could be years and years before HT does anything.

Terminator I will buy by default. I guess Robocop is the same although I'm not sure yet if I'll buy the EB 1:4. Everything else goes through a bit of evaluation. Does it tick the ''sufficiently iconic'' box. Does it tick the ''childhood nostalgia'' box. Do I have other items from that movie that the prospective purchase would go with. Ripley ticked all those boxes. (I collect the NECA Alien and Aliens stuff, I've got HT Dallas and Powerloader) And she's one of only about 4 female characters I'm ever likely to have in my collection, the others being Sarah Connor, Cameron (T:TSCC) and Pfeifer's Catwoman.

I forgot about Robocop, I'm in for that line to:panic:

Very nice!:hi5:

I thought about it myself but I am happy with my Custom Aliens Ripley.

I can't stick to just one line myself, to boring and limiting. I do try to keep it to just a few for the most part, I collect terminator, predator, marvel and dc with a few exceptions here and there. I will be collecting the 3zero walking dead line when that releases, currently making some custom walking dead figures to hold me over till the official line hits.

Same here. I thought about sticking to one line, can't do it. My whole 1/6 collection consists of Batman,
Terminator and Star Wars. I also have a few select horror figures. I'm also trying to stay away from periphery characters. No filler.

You guys are doing a good thing, my collection while sticks to a couple of lines deep, it also has a considerable breadth... The reason is that i like too many characters from too many movies. Its been very expensive so far and i plan to sell out some stuff or cut on new buys. Its a bit tough to do both.

you're neither a terminator figure nor a figure producer, so your opinion doesn't mean anything to me in building my mind about a terminator figure. do you understand that? )

There's no need to be rude mate, I'm not trying to change anybody's mind here or trying to force my opinions on someone else, so I don't know what your problem is exactly. I simply asked you what you didn't like about the figure, and what you think was wrong with it (as I said, I'm no Terminator expert, so the inaccuracies don't really stand out to me as much as they would to someone like you).

i'm ALWAYS inexplicably rude as people say (because i just don't see/feel that), that's my problem, you either deal with it if you are my friend or ignore me / **** on me if you're not, no third way :D tried to fix that but it's unfixable, so closing eyes on the problem worked better than correcting it.
oh, and as for the old, outdated, ****ty HT endoskeleton remake - its problem is that it is fully incorrect AND ugly, but that's a problem for its buyers, not mine.
wanna check? google T1 endoskeleton movie props anytime :)
everything is incorrect from the head to its toes, literally to the toes which are even worse/uglier/more unnatural than on the old variant. i mean shapes of details and engineering of connections, nothing else - but there's nothing else in making a right/wrong mechanical toy.
biggest examples: back shape (flat on the toy / round on a movie skeleton), size of "metal bones" of it, feet shape, forearms hydraulic shape and direction (have you ever seen them being wider near a hand than near an elbow???), chest fillings, size comparison between shoulder-arm bones, chest section and groin section... well it's a too long list to continue if you just don't see it.
p.s. even if you don't see the difference between movie and HT skeleton. there's an example.
compare old HT robocop to new HT robocop. there was a HUGE work done to make it closer to the movie, really huge, just a list of differences would take a page to name.
you can google both figures.
see the difference?
that was what i awaited from this new skeleton: total rework.
all they did was making the old skeleton (crappy and outdated) look worse.
and people who say it looks like the movie version seem totally blind to me, i don't know why they even bother buying anything from HT if their level of expectation meets a five-years-old level figure (that HT did the first time and made worse the second time) with pleasure.
aaaand how should i treat blind people who claim to be normal? :D

Ive been a member on this site for awhile now and have been a buyer of sideshow and hot toys 12inch figures since 2007.
I got on the waitlist for this figure, first time I've ever waitlisted....my question is, how do you know when it converts to a live order? It says WC etcetcetc.
Mature answer please.lol

I'm trying to keep my collection down to just what I absolutely love. At first I had a completest attitude, but now I just aim to buy the characters I absolutely love best. Some characters I thought I loved, but ended up feeling flat in my collection so they got the boot. For instance, I love Bruce Lee, his story, his movies, but the DX04 just stood in the same pose for months on end and didn't really fit in my collection.

Generally, I stick to the Nolan Batman franchise, Predator 1 and 2, Terminator (1, 2, and I already admitted I would buy T3 versions) and anything else Arnold.

Thanks for that. I guess you really know your terminators, lol. I'll be honest I've never paid that much attention to the real thing and analyze it in that much detail/do direct comparisons with the HT version, but I did google the T1 puppet and you're right, it is different. I don't have the HT Endo anymore, but from what I remember it did look different. The HT figure looks more like the T3 endo:

I guess I never really noticed before because for me, the differences don't really stand out that bad unlike a real person, where if the likeness is off, it is immediately noticeable, but with a robot, if it looks 90% like the real thing that's good enough for most people as it's instantly recognizable.

oh, if HT figure looked like that, it would already be unbeatable!
because even T3 skeleton still reminds of T2 skeleton still reminds of T1 skeleton, and mainly in shapes of big details and small detail units.
just now there's actually not much difference in HT and Neca except for the quality, but quality does not replace shapes.

No but i think its time now, they just did some promo on the premium format BD... So i am sure its gonna be any time now, but we all have been wrong before. If it goes the way its going though - late oct or nov is more likely.
