Here is my view. EB got into 1/4 as they could get parallel licenses for joker, terminator etc. 1/6 were already negotiated and signed with hot toys. Now, many people (not as many as 1/6 bought the 1/4). The only catch was that they were expensive and also size issues. But if the cost could be brought lower there was quite a big market if not as big as 1/6.
Now we need to understand HT strategy. HT wants to be a holistic player in the market. They want in on everything and not making any 1/4 would completely brand them as absent in that space. To protect turf and to ensure that they are considered a master in every scale or at least thats what their aim is... they are making some in 1/4. Tomorrow if some tidal wave causes everyone to go crazy over 1/4 it would not catch HT off gard. Thats all thats there to it. Same is the reason for a zillion iron men. Create an entry barrier and expand across scales to ensure end to end offering.

Healthy competition is good for us fans as the more the merrier I say. Once these companies start getting greedy and jealous of each others products then that is when the **** hits the fan.
And as usual it will be the customers who suffer. Anyway as I have stated previously 1/4 is not for me except for a few Neca items in that scale. I just don't have the space.

I'm not going to lie if it was something that I really wanted like say a '78Michael Myers and it was only going to be in 1/4 scale then I would bite the bullet but I would rather take 1/6 scale all day long.

Is that so. I was crying a billion tears that they did not make the endo in 1/6. I also beleive EB was to make one? Or i am lost. Either ways when i let go of the 1/4 endo, it was a tough decision for me, but i am hoping then1/6 one comes all die cast! That would be a win!

I think Hot Toys is not produsing enough figures on this line, I would love to see a Sarah Connor from the first movie and a new version of Kyle Reese. There is not even 1 single figure from terminator 3.

How come? Is it the teeth or size of the head? Or both? Lol. I still think it looks ok. Not 100% accurate to the film, but it still looks cool on display. Do you regret buying it?
All of the above. And it just annoys me that they didn't use the actual movie endoskeleton as the basis for their endoskeleton from 'The Terminator'. What they gave us is closer to Terminator 2 and it isn't even a perfect match for that. So its just a generic endoskeleton really. Amazing engineering and whatnot but we expected nothing less than that after the 1:6 versions and the T-600s.

Yeah fair enough man. I actually got rid of mine (destroyed at Sideshow's request). I was planning to get another one with the money from the refund, but I've kinda lost a bit of interest, so I'm not sure if I still want it. No other option for a decent Endo that's affordable though.
I am once again confused as to what in gods name is or isn't going on with the Enterbay Endoskeleton. Check out the bottom of this seemingly recent interview:

A-dev I was meaning that the rivalry between the companies is good for us fans at the moment.
I was trying to say that when they step on each others toes and try to damage each other with the 'you made this, so we will counter with that' bull**** then they take their eye of the ball. Concentrate on your own stuff and if one company makes something then who cares.
We choose who we buy from and a company v company war which is competing for our money usually means that there is only one left standing.
I would hate there to be just one company to buy from.
I have probably taken it to deep but I feel that good healthy competition is fine but a game of one-upmanship is not.

lol. What don't you like about the rest of the figure? I thought it was just the head you didn't like. I'm not Terminator expert, but surely the body isn't really inaccurate? At least not by much anyway. I didn't really notice anything wrong with it. The only thing that stood out as innaccurate to me was the head sculpt.You seem to hate everything dude.
