Oh man, there's that "which Joker will we do next" collage again. :lol

I think they're seriously considering doing more variations at this point.

This is absolutely brilliant by Hot Toys.

They will milk this for everything that it's worth.

Give us the mime version
next museum version
then Jack Napier
Then Mob Version

like I said, smart of hot Toys, sucks for us waiting

Man, Mob version better not be last. That would mean at least 3 more years. :lol

Can anyone read and translate the article?

I'm watching Batman now. Those black squares on the display base are supposed to be sewer drain grates. Though in the film, they are alot bigger

Me too. When i first saw it last year( was it last year) I felt hopeful but as time went on and Returns started to take longer and longer my hope waned. Now with this Mime Joker out of nowhere Im back to thinking there's a chance.

Can anyone read and translate the article?

Yeah. Especially the part under the Joker collage. :lol

Adults, upon hearing that their parents are dead, don't dress up as bats and go fight crime. Therefore, Batman's origin must clearly originate from his childhood. Napier's intelligent enough to realize that.

See above. When Batman says "You killed my parents...you made me first," it's pretty reasonable for Joker to assume that Batman must have been a kid when it happened. Losing one's parents isn't a deep trauma for an adult.

Neither did eight year old Bruce, he didn't do it then and there. He greived and then he went on to do it.

It depends on the cause of death. If my parents were shot to death, and I witnessed it as an adult, that would still be a deep trauma. Even if I didn't witness it, that's still a massive trauma. Don't be so quick to presume it wouldn't. Death is a mysterious thing and it effects everyone differently. It makes you see the world differently.

Totally disagree. I don't think he would necessarily have to be a child at the time to have been driven into being Batman. And even so, that would have had to have been an incredibly fast bit of deductive reasoning to reach the conclusion that "since he said I murdered his parents, and now he dresses as Batman, he was probably a child at the time to drive him to this since his parents murder would only affect him then, so that must mean I was younger at the time too, so I will reply that I was a kid at the time".... all in a beat. It just doesn't make sense in the context of how fast the scene plays out. And even then... If he took all the time to reason that out, it would probably lead him to the thought of it being Bruce Wayne still (again, especially in light of his recent encounter with him at Vicki's apartment).

Doesn't the joker assume Bruce is dead by this point in the movie? I mean he shot him in the chest in Vicky's apartment. So why would he call out batman when he interrupts the mayors press conference. If he thinks Bruce is batman and he just killed him he would then in turn know that batman wouldn't show up to save the city.

I wouldn't say that... Folks don't always die from a single gunshot wound to the chest, especially from the small gun joker used. I don't believe he would just automatically assume it killed him. And it would have been all over the news that night if billionaire and Gotham socialite Bruce Wayne had been killed (or even seriously wounded) by the Joker, what with it happening in Vicki Vale's apartment right in front of her. We know Joker saw what was happening on the news that night (since he interrupts it). No news about Wayne would have clued him in that he survived. Heck, not seeing anything on the news about Wayne even being injured would have added to his suspicions if he had any at this point, showing him that there was more to Wayne than people assume.

And I am not saying he knew before the confrontation, so he would still expect Batman to show even if he thought Bruce was dead. But if he did suspect it, this might even be a test to see if he is truly injured or dead. Either way, we don't know that he fully clues in until Batman says "you killed my parents" and he responds "I was a kid when I killed your parents". Maybe he had suspicions before... maybe he didn't. But his reply there indicates he knows at that point.

And if he is figuring it out, it would be reasonable to assume that since he sees this armored Batman standing in front of him that has survived multiple gunshots wounds previously and a plane crash, shooting Bruce with a little derringer wouldn't be enough to do the job.

This is one heck of a conversation...exactly the kind of thing that a good film should draw out. Personally, I see myself edging more towards Sallah's line of thought, but there certainly is a lot of room open for a person's individual speculation too. Which is brilliant!

I cannot wait to get this figure! It is such an unusual one, that as a BAT fan, I could not really say "no" to. I really like that creepy 'Jack' look it has, that has been captured so well by...was it Yulli? I am losing track of who is sculpting whom. I would not be too bothered if the next was either a Hot-Time-In-The-Old-Town Jack, a runny faced + normal head museum Jack, or a straight No:1 Guy Jack with his greatcoat. I would buy any of them. In fact if they did do all of them, I'd get all three.

TOTALLY agreed! The film is almost 25 years old and we can STILL find different viewpoints of scenes. That is good filmmaking. :clap

I love discussing batman especially with people as well versed with the material as the folks on this board. As I get older the amount of people i know who want to get in serious superhero related dialogue gets smaller and smaller so this board is a fantastic outlet for me. Thanks guys!
