Don’t get me wrong, if I had an extreme urge to have DM in my SW collection, I’d gladly hand over $280 (would have no interest in the speeder).

Fortunately, I just don’t have an urge to have him in my collection. Even if I did go beyond RotS Anakin and Kenobi as far as the PT goes, I’d probably go for Dooku and Yoda first before I went for Maul.

You have to have a Maul for the inevitable Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon was already teased.

Some valid points. And all are true. However, taking a look over the last ten months... I’m still taken aback by just how much some of this hobby has leapt forward in cost. It’s staggering. We may not see a jump like it for a few years, but still.

By the way, some of you are going to be extremely disappointed if you’re thinking there are actually two figures in the box. It’s just a second headsculpt.

1/6 Sith speeder bike is the second figure, second headsculpt is the extra accessory.

But why you're so angry ? Sideshow charges $500+ for their Scout trooper plus with the scout speeder bike.

Why dont you do the math and compare the value of these two ?

I’m getting more sucked into buying Prequel Trilogy figures than I wanted to. I’m trying to keep it to strictly main characters and mostly one of each character. Thinking Maul, Qui-Gon, and Obi-Wan for Episode I. Dooku, Yoda, and Padme From Episode II. Obi-Wan and Anakin from Episode III. If there’s a pre-Emperor version of Palpatine I’ll consider him too.

Yeah, I always said that RotS Anakin and Kenobi were the must haves of the PT to me. RotS is the only PT film I like in its entirety, and I feel that as long as you have RotS Anakin and Obi-Wan, you have the gist of the PT, since those two kind of cover TCW as well. The rest are just additions to me.

As I mentioned, the only other PT I might have an itchy finger for at some point are Dooku, Yoda, and maybe a Cody.

I figured this would be north of $350, as the bike lights up. $405 is a bit crazy, but so am I. The speeder is cool, so I will get it. I haven’t noticed it mentioned, but is that a qui gon tease in one of the maul promo pics?
This release is why I skipped ss maul v2 and makes me question getting skiff lando.

It helps Maul’s case that he looks cool. Even though he was disappointing in the film (I know he had more to do later in The Clone Wars) he just looks badass.
