You guys could probably save thousands of dollars a year by buying less figures and instead spending more time with the ones you purchase. Taking it out of the box and sticking it on the shelf never to be touched again just leaves you wondering when your next pre-order is going to ship.

What's wrong with that?? :huh

One might say that you have missed the point of collecting.

But I do think by buying less figures and only the ones you really want is something some people should do if they can't afford it so I don't want to be responsible for someones debt because they read this post.

Re: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark IV in hand pics

So did anyone else think this should have been posted in the marv- oh wait yes a few did. :wink1:

This figure looks excellent. However I wouldn't buy another Iron Man considering the colour fading issue.

Re: Hot Toys Iron Man Mark IV in hand pics

I need to see this Mark IV in the iconic pose, i.e. when he lands from flight, on one knee with his fist in the ground. The able-to-articulate waist is supposed to allow you to put him in this pose. I wonder if anyone will have the courage to try it.

Crap, this single image is responsible for making a man who had promised himself and his wife that he was only getting the VI and WM a big fat liar :(

Preordered at CSC.

The more you touch the figure the bigger the chance you will break something ..that's how i see it anyway:)

Only if you're a klutz.

Yup. I buy these things as display pieces, not to play with as toys. But I don't have a problem with people who do though, its just my preference. And yes, I'm very anxious to PO Spidey whenever he's officially put up for PO:D

Same applies to me. Futz and pose it nicely and leave it displayed. Admire.

There's a difference between playing with them as toys and changing the pose up every week or so. I'm talking about the latter.

Well you are not highlighting another important enjoyment even though you have been certainly doing it :D Take pictures of these!! They really photograph well and come alive.. I just have to find time to finish off my displays with lighting and then I can finally shoot ahead! But if I have not said it yet your display is amazing and the camera work does your collection and displays justice :D

I guess everybody has their own way of doing things. I appreciate my collection and look at each individual figure all the time, but I just like to pick the pose I like best and keep them that way.

Not really a reason, just a preference I suppose. I just usually pick one set of accessories and display style and keep the figure that way after I put it on the shelf and after that they stay that way. I don't swap out heads or anything after I've decided on the one I like better.

:exactly: Totally agree there. Once I've picked the bits out, there they stay. Changing poses every other day doesn't really do it for me but that's coz I'm boring and I've just got my guys all in pretty neutral stances :)

I totally agree with your comments. I set them up the way I want, then I leave them that way. So, that is why I am getting two. One to be posed masked and the other unmasked. :)

that's cool too, but I really don't feel like I should even waste any of my time every week to touch these toys when they're perfectly fine to me how they're displayed. We know you hate the idea of people who do that, but like I said, I sleep perfectly fine with how I display them and that's all I really care about:) We'll agree to disagree and move on

@)&@(^!#

Decisions, decisions. Gazing at all of those photos, now I might to pass on War Machine for mark iv and vi.
