Sorry, i'm not used to seeing grief, frustration and anger without those being used so I had to add them. :lol

Now, the lack of the delivery seems much more grim.

:lol

Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow. I wonder if the weather has been an issue with deliveries. :gah: :panic: (How's that? :lol)

Much better, more in line with the SSF status quo :clap

We're supposed to get a nasty ice storm in 2 days. :horror

Hopefully yours arrives tomorrow :rock

I'm cuddling up with my wife.......and Mark 4 :lol

Somebody bought a light tent then? with the lights set up the wrong way.

The fabric sides is suppose to diffuse the lights (without the lamps sitting too close and burning it) with the folded part as your backdrop. Which usually works best ironed in a low heat to take out the creases.

Yeah, they're saying this storm cold dump up to 2 feet of snow here in the Northeast. :panic:

Finally snapped a few shots of mine. Got him Friday, haven't really put him down since. My girlfriend was looking at me like I was goofy because every spare second I had this weekend I was fiddling with him. Never really noticed the proportions on the MkIII were so off until I saw this guy next to him.

It's a vinyl shower curtain, man.

I bought a big arse roll of white drawing paper. It's about a meter wide. I use it for my all white back drops you see in the previous pics. When it gets marred up or dirty over time I just replace it. You just have to light the paper well, I usually use one or two lights directly on the paper then more lights in front of the subject.

Posterboard also works really well, it's usually what I use for black backgrounds.

Who folds shower curtains into little squares like that? my light tent backdrops came folded exactly as that.

It works well for custom made tents.

Ikea. $3.99

And I just moved and had it laying around. Figured it would be better than the blinds in the background. It's hanging (shower curtain rings and all) from the lights over the pool table, where I've been taking my pics.

I'm reading up on my Nikon D50, trying out different settings. Hopefully I'm going to get close to where many of you already are.

:horror :horror

wait, I better put the telly on, i'm in NY and they were saying more of an ice storm than snow, not that ice is any better mind you :lol

I'm jealous. Haven't seen snow in anything more than a flurry since I moved away from Chicago in '94. We're getting parts of the same storm here in Houston, but it's gonna give us hail, thunderstorms and 40 mph winds. I'd rather have snow.

Exactly like that, actually my set up looks nearly identical to that except that I'm using smaller crappier DIY soft boxes and multiple lights.
