Good to hear that you're at home.
Rest assured, your troubles will be worth it once this thing is in your hands.

I'm sure of that. Funny thing, My 3 yr old and 5 yr old grandsons have a 12" Mattel Iron Man and yesterday I told them I was going to put in in my display case because mine didn't come in the mail. The 5 yr old look over at my display case and says 'No, because then I can't play with it.' Put a smile on my face. They love coming in my room and looking at my figures. But they know it's hand off.

Thanks to everyone for spending the time to give me their thoughts and advice !!!! I really appreciate it !

i think you should do one of two things...

1) Get all of the armors so there are no gaps

or better yet,

2) sell me your Mark 1, 2, and 3 at a below average price...then just buy the Mark VI and War Machine

:D :duff

LOL. I think I am leaning towards option 1, but thanks for the kind offer to take them off my hands :lol

I think if you already have the Mark I, II, and II, and if you plan on getting the Mark V and VI, you will need to get the Mark IV. It will look very odd without it.. especially if you display them on their stands.. the missing mark IV will be bugging you.

You could see the beauty in the 'space', appreciate the essence of what ought to be there rather than what actually is.

But I would get the Mark IV to complete the set else it eat away at me for the rest of my life.

I agree. Even if you have a budget issue this is not the one to save on. The TS HS is the critical difference that will make it stand out and you will not get it with V or VI. Your regret down the road will cost you more than making a hasty purchase now. Yes the III and III BD may not have gained and even lost value but this one wont!

:borg:

Funnily enough it is actually space that is the main issue (rather than funds...for once). The way I'm going I'm gonna need a Detolf just for my Iron Men. You have backed up what I've been feeling though, if I don't get him it will gnaw at me for ages.

I'm in your shoes too, except I got the Mk.IV. It's the Mk.II that's been escaping me here and ebay.

You are in a great position to avoid this. Best get the Mk.IV now while it's still being sold at reasonable prices or you will never be the same...MARK...MY...WORDS!!

Just kidding of course.
By the way, no War Machine love, what's up with that?

Yep, thats my worry, by the time decide that I don't want him but I NEED him the aftermarket prices will have gone mad. Good luck with the Mark II mate. Fingers crossed for you!

I actually already have War Machine, the Gunmetal Mark III, Mech Test and the Hot Toys Mens Suit Tony bash. Even more reason not to miss the Mark IV I guess.......

Bob...it's a must my man! :exactly:

I actually can say I think it's the closest thing to perfection in 1/6 out there. I finally took the helmet off of mine last night and it's like a whole other figure. The coolness factor is off the charts man!

Two thoughts....

One, if you aren't completely attached to the III then I might sell that to make room/get some cash for the IV. I don't personally own the III and have only ever seen it at a store but from all the pics here etc, IMO, the IV is FAR superior. I highly doubt you would feel bad about selling it after you have the IV in hand! :wink1:

Two, since you've got the rest, I can't see how you could pass on one more to make a complete set. The completist in me would be going :panic:...even though that's $175 additional dollars crazy!

The other thing to keep in mind is we won't be getting another IM suit until Avenger's or after. Avenger's doesn't even come out until next year! Plenty of time to recover from the additional $175.

Cheers Bro !!

It's actually your pics that pushed me over the edge and made me doubt my decision to skip the Mark IV. I could never get rid of my Mark III and although I have never been completist on a line (I skipped Black Widow and Whiplash) there is deffo an appeal to owning all the Iron Men suits. I initially chose the mark VI over IV simply because it was visually more different from the other figs than the IV. I know now that was a mistake.....................as I need both.

The result is I have ordered my Mark IV today , and it's on it's way!!!!!!
:yess:

Thanks again everyone !!! You guys rock !!!

Bob

:rotfl

For some reason I have to do that pose with every figure at some point! When I did it with the DX Batman Devil_666 photoshopped him as one of the Three Tenors! :lol
But the chocolate on the hand is a new one! :yess:

gettin mine on sunday...so excited

Congrats! :hi5:

P.S. Is "OtimusPrime" Optimus Prime's stinky brother? :monkey3

:clap
You must be my long lost evil twin, or am I the evil one, aahh whatever.
But the Silver Centurion...YES! Back in the day when he was with the West Coast Avengers. :hi5:

I, however, will be getting the Mk.VI because of nothing more than to complete my set of armors.

Maybe we're BOTH evil!?!?!

Done right that armor could look pretty cool. I wouldnt mind the Iron Patriot either though thats not stark.

In case anyone doesn't know what the Silver Centurion armor is...here is a website with some okay interpretations of it.

https://sectionsixteen.freeforums.org/post1022.html

The Centurion or a Hulk Buster for me would be :horror. If some of the rumors about the Hulk being one of the people the Avenger's take on in the movie then there's a chance we'll see it.

Yeah....horrible. :cuckoo:

Very cool man! What's creating the effect of the discs in that pic in your first set??

Congrats on the decision, you won't regret it! I did want to clarify I meant being a completist with the armors, not the line in general. Missing one armor if I had the rest would drive me nuts!

Pretty sure these are it for me for now. In a couple of days I'll have them all (some I haven't shown here) in my collection thread but right now I'm working on getting all my Transformers images uploaded.

Are you sure you want to know? It might spoil the magic...

It's the door knobs on my closet.

Where did you get the flag?

It comes with the Classic IM comiquette, duh :cuckoo: Sheezus newb...get with it! :monkey3

Oh...the one the HT's figure is holding?!?! :slap That one came home with my wife from some 4th of July decorations they bought for a party at her office. I'm guessing like at Michael's or something around the 4th.

Yeah the one the Mark IV is holding. :lol It looks really cool. It would actually look great with a GI Joe figure. Thank ya sir :hi5:

Oh no, Poser Mag is in this section now :lol
Nice pictures though I prefer you to keep the colours accurate as the red on the MIV is epic
Also great pic from everyone else...
Chigger your pic of TS with the Donut and the tilted glasses looks like TS is trying to strike a sexy pose for some donut deprived woman :rotfl

Anyone know how to twist RDJ head off the neck? I am trying to put it on a TT neck so it won't look short and stubby any ideas? blow drying didn't work for me and don't want to dip him in hot water.. Thanks.

Wrap the neck in a (clean) sock and bite gently but firm down on it. Pull the head sculpt. Voila.

Pretty low-tech.

Actually it's really hard to capture the hue perfectly as a camera cant get the red to pop the way it does in person, but I agree that the full red pics are really cool.

That said, you can't stop me from including the sepia/antiqued style pics 'cos I love them too! :nana:
