I've been waiting for a Pepper Potts figure for years now, so I'm thrilled! Hill and now Potts! It's going to be a pricey year, but this'll be the lone Potts figure, so I'm in!
The likeness is crazy good! It's insane how many people (not necessarily here, but on Facebook mostly) don't see her at all. I agree that the hair throws it off a bit, but that can be worked with (BARBIE BRUSH!!
) but to say that it doesn't look like Paltrow? I'm guessing some just really want Hot Toys to shrink down the actors and slap their heads onto the figures. They've been CRAZY good in recent years, and this one is no exception!
I wasn't sure which version I was going to go with, as I always wanted Potts in the suit on display; but knowing that the helm she comes with with the flip lid isn't for the figure she comes with kinda takes away from that. I've got the Mk. 43 on order from AoU, and passed on the 42...so yeah, it sucks that that'd just be this loose head for me. You REALLY have to have a lot of Iron Man figures to make that combo worthwhile, but it's great to get those options if you are an avid Iron Man figure collector!!
As it stands, I'll probably go with the solo release! I'm checking out prices though. I love that they're releasing her in the sports bra look from the end of Iron Man 3 though! It's all black now, so it makes me wonder if they're going to give her a light up stomach or something. Only makes sense that something isn't done that they otherwise would've shown in that image.
Great options though! Can't wait to order her!!
